What's going to happen at the end, are multiple people going to survive, or they die together in a stupid way because that sounds like something Lambda would do?

Beatrice already sent all the messages by the 4th game. Which means, carrying it on will be worthless. Eternal torture... they make it sound like it has gone on for a long time, even before the 1st game, and the 1st game isn't any different...

Alright, here's the part where Erika accuses Natsuhi. In the beginning she did it in the parlor, so... this is another wild imagination?

I know as a reader that Natsuhi is not the culprit (at least from what was shown). Hope that besides proving her innocence they will go on to reveal the true culprit. Like in an Ace Attorney game. Seeing there is a court and all...please give some Answers for once.

It's really a trial, with Erika/Bernkatsel against Natsuhi/Beatrice

No one checked the hiding places of the guest room after finding Hideyoshi's body, they could be under the bed the whole time.... Though this kind of logic won't fly in Umineko, it will get red-denied instantly.

Battler knows the truth of this world. And he's not going to tell me, probably, until some later episode.

That's a lot of possibilities. I can't remember who was doing what at the time, and maybe wasn't given enough information anyway, so there's no way for me to figure this out.

What's stopping someone from saying in red that 'Natsuhi is (not) the killer'? I mean this will make the whole game pointless, but is there a lore reason why this can't be done?

A receipt shouldn't be decisive evidence of someone's alibi. All sorts of things could have happened to it before Erika came back. Unless you can prove it's in the same exact position when you last saw it... Whatever, I'll go along with the game.

I might have liked the ep4 Tea Party but that was largely Battler spouting a load of bullshit against Beatrice.
This one looks like a mystery that could be understood in our reality, relatively speaking, with real evidence and real logic. Which is a nice change of pace.

Isn't Beatrice trying to argue she, the witch, committed the crimes, why are they looking for alibis for all the Humans?

Lambda made Beatrice into witch huh. I think someone like that had be hinted at last episode.
Going further back, there's that flashback at the beginning of episode 3 where Beatrice was supposedly taught magic by Virgilia.
Gah, I have no idea.

Is boredom really that powerful of a drug and can only be sated by a massive violent psychopath? If you were that powerful of a witch, surely there a lot of ways to get entertained. A thousand years doesn't look nearly enough to experience what the world has to offer, and they have access to a lot of worlds. Then again I'm not a witch so who am I to judge.

Not to mention boredom is a bad motive for a villain.

And he's going in with absolutely nothing, triggering my fond memories of Phoenix Wright's standard last minute objections and bluffing all the way to an acquittal. Good times.

These Knox rules make the arguments more reasonable. None of those crazy theories are going to work -

All right Dlanor, Battler might have completely failed but you're the one responsible for pushing him into the mess.

Jesus Christ, those witches are the lowest of the low, saying what you want about Beatrice but she didn't resort to such... degeneracy. What they are doing is take out the parts of the truth that fits their narrative and make up the rest.

I was thinking about what actually happened, after all it has been confirmed Natsuhi is absolutely innocent. Right now it said there was an empty room and the second floor of the guesthouse, which was never mentioned once in this episode and not checked by Erika, maybe this is a hint?

I'm not getting my hopes up though. Chances are, this mystery will never be explained in the later episodes.

Why are we back on the topic of the baby 19 years old who was dead and doesn't exist anymore
Is this something relevant to the characters? Something magical happened and the baby didn't die? Something to do with a person's birth and origins?

Well, better late than never. And by late, it's seconds before this episode is over.
It's piece-Battler that said it, but the real Battler is dead. Who is controlling him now, and why would he say that? Was it one of the demons? Virgilia? Dlanor?
It ended at the second twilight with lots of people are left alive.... it's suspended. Wonder if it would carry on in the Tea Party/???/episode 6.

That was quite a downer. You would expect the trial to be more contested though it's unfair, but no, Battler and Beatrice barely put up a fight. Not what I expected or wanted from a showdown.
Battler's actions also irk me. He swore to go back to Ange no matter what, but got himself involved in this trial + gave up too soon. He accepted that he would have suspect a relative to get past the Illusion of the Witch, but stood so firm on Natsuhi's innocence. I'm sure he knows that Natsuhi was a piece so... does it matter that much to him. It feels like he's regressed a bit.
There's still the off chance he knows something I don't and did it for a reason. He can't be dead forever, Beatrice turned him into meat many times and can bring him back, so the real Beatrice has to wake up and do it.
