Just got one three months ago and I can say it is worth every penny of it including the games.

I've played and finished so far the following:

Child of Light
Gravity Rush
FFX
Darkest Dungeon
Dragons Crown
Disgaea 3

I'm planning to buy one by one the following

P4G
Disgaea 4
FFX-2
Stardew Valley ( a portable stardew valley is very interesting for me)
Wolf Among Us

Anything obvious I might have missed?

The Virtues Last Reward games are fantastic. I think there's only 2 on Vita. The first is on 3ds and ps4.

That Uncharted game isn't the best in the series but it's still pretty fun.

Borrowed Killzone for a while, didn't quite like the 'theme', but it's quite good in gameplay and graphics.

Any other good FPS?

How about AC in the vita? Is it any good?

Not that I played. I heard Borderlands 2 is pretty good, but has performance problems. Also don't forget you can stream PS4 games on the Vita.

AC Liberation I got with my Vita. It's...not great, but if you can find it for cheap and like the AC series, you can check it out. It plays pretty well for a Vita game.

Ah, Vita. Great times.

TC get the 2000 model if you can. Better battery and the screen quality is fine even though it's not OLED.

Also, I can't recommend Zen Pinball 2 enough on the Vita.

Danganronpa 1 & 2 are easily the best games on the Vita imo.

I used to use my Vita all the time, but since they stopped really releasing games for it, I've gone back to catch up on the 3DS games I missed. I just realized last week that my Vita is still on FW 3.58, so I might be able to more use for it soon.

eeeehhhhh.....

I really, really didn't like the direction they took with it, mainly the ending. I haven't watched the anime of 3 yet, but it sounds a lot more like what I would have wanted.

Also, Ultra Despair Girls was probably one of the worst games I've ever played all the way through. Might have been slightly better on the PS4 with better controls though.

The ending was the best and i was literally in awe over it cause i didn't expected it from this game at all. It was one of the best game endings ever (to me). Not to mention that i enjoyed more humor, monokubs, and character interactions and

V3 did have some of the best characters tbh. Fucking loved the blue, acloholic, Gene-Simmons-wannabe Monokub "I've got a rock hard rager!"

Even though the ending was definitely unique, I just fucking hated it. Not only did it ignore almost all the story build up of the series and fail to address the post-DR1/2/UDG events, but it basically insulted the game's entire fanbase directly on top of that.

I can't relate at all (insulted fanbase, really?) i loved the cynicism of the ending tbh. And it just made it more realistic for me because i like Japanese killing games trope

This pretty much sums up my thoughts on it:
https://www.polygon.com/2017-best-games/2017/12/15/16735610/danganronpa-v3-killing-harmony-ending-goty-2017
There are many ways to interpret the finale. The most critical of them is that the games developer decided that the sadistic violence of Danganronpa is bad, and that the supporters of the franchise and, crucially, the supporters of their real-life game development studio are culpable in some way for the glorification of that violence. In reading the ending that way, its not hard to find something hypocritical and dismissive about the developers change of heart. It represents a tremendous amount of ungratefulness to the fan base, casting judgment upon them for patronizing such a ghoulish series of video games that the studio designed, marketed and sold.

Root Letter is a really good one. The only bad thing is that the ending you get pretty much nothing to do with how you play the game and that you can only get the "true" ending on a replay.

Apparently the game had a big following in Japan, as they're doing a "live action VN" remake with actors portraying the characters and photos of the real-life locations for the backgrounds.

There's also Steins;Gate, of course.

Yeah, I got the physical version of Va-11 from Limited Run Games during the summer; it's really good, very mellow experience, interesting setting and cast of characters. It's just not a very long game is all. Played perfectly fine on the Vita.

The Muv-Luv series has been VN king for years now, even though it's dated by today's standards. The first Muv-Luv in particular is a complete slog as it's more or less a simple high school romcom, but it's how the devs wanted to introduce all the characters for the main titles.

Utawarerumono is probably my favorite of what I've played though. Has a super likeable cast of characters, a decent SRPG system, and a plot that had me very hooked.

I do NOT recommend Root Letter. I got it in a sale for like $1 and it's honestly the worst VN I've ever played. The story essentially is making a big deal out of nothing, and your protagonist is one of the most unlikable characters I've ever played as, which only serves to pad the game out more. A lot of VN sites actively discourage people away from the game, and I wished I had heeded their advice. Oh, and the game is also heavily funded by the location the game is based on, so there's a lot of shoe-horned in tourism things to entice people to visit.
