Rebellion is great with a controversial ending.

Apparently the ending was originally going to be different but they went the way they did in case they wanted to make more Madoka later.

Yeah, the ending is what i dislike about rebellion. Really like bittersweet end of madoka. Rebellion made it disappear.

anyways, the movie was pretty good. i loved the first majority of the film where it was homura trying to figure out whats happening and escape from the labyrinth and who the "people who don't belong" were. but once homura turned into a witch i dont know what happened. none of it made sense

all the fight scenes were kickass. that gun-fu timestop battle early on was the best

if a sequel were to build off of the ending of this movie i would have my doubts about it

She pretty much restarted the universe her own way, replacing what madoka did in the show, and the other girls were aware of this but knew not to mess with homura because she would fuck them up since she's literal satan to madoka's god-like powers

2) how kyubey was able to prevent madoka from saving homura
3) why homura is going against what madoka wants

You know how in Pokmon theres Arceus, the deity that created the universe and has allegedly limitless power, but is susceptible to being caught and made the partner of a pubescent child?

The whole thing is that homura didn't care about doing the right thing, completely disregarded everything, and did what she needed to do to be with madoka

Also everything in the movie mostly happens in a dream of sorts
