Tough to say. If I was born into such world it would feel normal to me thus nothing about it would feel special. If I was thrust into such a world and the setting I'd imagine it might be interesting at first until reality sets in.

That being said, I would find it interesting to go from our world into the Star Trek universe though I'd be stump if I'll be able to be of any use. I can't help but think entering the Federation Academy would be beyond my capability. For something more down to Earth, I would choose the Star Gate universe but of course I wouldn't be privy to anything going on with the SGC.

Me, personally? Or myself, but with some alterations?

Steampunk could be interesting. Would work well with my current knowledge.

Fantasy would also be interesting, but I'd probably turn out to be some random villager that's killed during battle or just from being too odd as most of my experience is in computer tech and traditionally, that's lacking in high fantasy worlds.

Futuristic could be a lot of fun, assuming it's something like an O'Neill cylinder. Travel in space.

Post-apocalyptic would be interesting, in theory, but a tiring nightmare when you're constantly fighting for survival.

If I can use magic then I'd like to live in either the dragon age world(preferably tevinter, or antiva even tho I have no idea what its like there but I read mages are pretty ok there), or the inheritance cycle world.

We're assuming you're above average for this scenario. Being thrust in a world you're familiar with and granted whatever status you need to give you the start you want.

I, for example, would be a necromancer in the elder scrolls universe. Working my way through the process of becoming a Lich.

Hah! That was probably the first thing that crossed my mind. Would I consider living in the world of Alda/Lord of the Rings despite the danger in the world? Sure. But the thought of no plumbing is kinda a deterrent.

I've done backpacking where I had no showers for days and had to do my business in a hole that I feel I can only do that so long before it gets tiresome.

If I got to be at least well off financially the shadowrun world seems cool. Not the happiest of places but like the regular world most people get by just fine. But it's got slightly higher tech than what we have now, fantasy races like elves and magic. Set in a world pretty similar to our own. (Actually it is based on this world just slightly in the future and with the shit like magic and elves)

And in that world I wouldn't be so scared of cybernetic enhancments as the video games I played it seemed pretty obvious the government wasn't using shit like that to spy on people. If they where there wouldn't be so many damn criminals with them.

The low fantasy real world+ is always nice. Things are pretty cool here, but magic, fantasy races, etc, would make them cooler.

In the case of most high fantasy, my big issue is lacking indoor plumbing and other basic conveniences. And, while I'd love to live in the world of Pokemon, I'd probably be forced to go vegetarian (since I don't want to eat Pokemon meat) which would suck. I also love the idea of the X-Men's world but that'd also involve the larger Marvel universe which is constantly on the verge of destruction.

Trying to think of other kinda neat universes. A lot of them are just neat for including certain characters, though.

Thinking bout it a bit, a world like the movie Bright could be interesting. Allow us to maintain the comfort and familiarity of our world while introducing some fantasy aspects.
