I am woefully undereducated on Hitchcock. I've only seen psycho, North by Northwest, and the birds.

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that the only one I have seen is Dial M For Murder so I vote for that one by default.

For me:

Vertigo > Psycho > North by Northwest > Rebecca > Strangers on a Train > The Birds.

All of them are great movies, though. Haven't seen Rope, Dial M for Murder, or (to my shame) Rear Window. I may have to pull a Hitchcock marathon soon myself.

Dial M is my favorite for sure, with North by Northwest and Rope right on the tail.

Vertigo and Rear Window are so crazy good. I voted for Vertigo 'cause I have a great memory of seeing it with a live orchestra a few years ago.

We had this poll like a month or two ago, but of the ones I've seen all the way through:

Psycho > Rear Window > Frenzy > Rebecca > Rope

As much as I like the Alfred Hitchcock Presents episodes, I think I've only ever watched one of his movies. I can't suggest Lifeboat over all of the other movies, but it's not offensive to your senses if you happen to watch it.

I can understand someone disliking Vertigo, not Rear Window though, what a great idea for a movie (well, short story first).

Definitely the coolest live-performed thing I've ever seen! It was the Cleveland orchestra at their beautiful performance hall, they're a super serious world class orchestra...

Funny, I haven't seen Rebecca or Rope, but my ranking is pretty similar. Just replace Rebecca with Dial M for Murder and then swap it with Strangers on a Train.

I've only seen the "Big Four" before last weekend, but I watched Rope last weekend and it might honestly be it. That or Psycho.

I dont think I'm a big Hitchcock fan either way. I thought Vertigo and North by Northwest were both boring and overrated.

I haven't seen a few of these, but either North by Northwest or Rear Window. I found both to be fantastic.

I think that Vertigo is one of the most overrated classics and while I appreciate how great some aspects of Psycho were, my expectations coming in might have been too for high for it to reasonably match.

Yeah, I just didn't enjoy either. Maybe I came into Vertigo with too lofty expectations, but I had barely heard of NbN and still didn't like it. I should probably give it another chance someday because I really enjoyed Psycho, Rear Window, and Rope.

yeah not saying you're obligated to like it or anything, i was just surprised that you were straight-up bored watching the movie. to me it's like saying raiders of the lost ark is boring.

i love psycho but i'd say it has a greater number of boring parts than NBN, personally!
