Board 8 > What game do I need to make sure I play soon?

I do a best-game-I-played-from-the-past-two-years list every two years, and that time is coming up. I don't have a clear #1-#3 right now and they're all pretty flawed despite their greatness, so I thought I'd ask you to help me figure out what's worth my time from what I have access to right now so I can try it/them for the list in these final weeks.

Batman: Arkham City - B:AA was legit.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified - loved Enemy Unknown, but this is a diferent genre.

Chroma Squad - played like ten minutes and really enjoyed its charm.

Hotline Miami 2 - HM1 was a trance worth falling into, heard iffy things about the direction of HM2 though.

Kentucky Route Zero - I just hear it's good.

Screencheat - been wanting to try this for awhile bu will need someone to play with.

Sleeping Dogs - watched a friend play this years ago. Bomb-ass soundtrack, seemed cool then.

South Park: the Fractured But Whole - looooove the show, but the menus and bulletsponge-enemies from the Stick of Truth drove me away from the last game. EDIT: I made a mistake in the poll -- this is for FBW, not SoT.

The Swapper - also just hear it's good.

The Talos Principle - heard this is like a spiritual successor to Portal.

Feel like it's usually you I see pop in when Swapper is mentioned. If Talos is so different, cool, just misheard then....oops! It kinda gives me a Pneuma vibe but I clearly don't know much about it other than it's supposed to be good.

The xcom game is fine. It's not particularly good but there's nothing offensively bad about it.

It's also not a FPS, it plays more like mass effect 2.

Kentucky Route Zero still has one chapter left to go so you might want to wait for that to come out. It's my favourite game on this list, one of my favourites in recent memory, so you can't go wrong either way.

The Swapper and The Talos Principle are complementary games about the mind-body connection and consciousness. If you play one make sure to play the other. They're also completely different types of puzzle games so you shouldn't burn out. The Swapper is shorter and more sophisticated in its philosophy, while the Talos Principle is more personal. The Fall is another similar game that came out around these two and is worth checking out as well. It's been in a bunch of bundles so you might have it on PC already.
