People like your wife are the reason my local grocery store now only sells PB filled donuts if one calls in a special orders them.

Since when do people not like cheese crackers

ask any kid if they'd like cheese crackers or a donut for a treat

we had special donut days at school, we did not have cheese crackers given out for anything

it's about one kid getting a really shitty consolation prize

So, does your wife just want you to agree with her, or does she want to to convince the coach to make every other kid's life less happy so they'll bully your kid.

If your wife doesn't want you to do anything, just pretend to agree with her.

A lot to unpack since I last checked this topic. Can't go through it all now but this jumped out at me:

I'm more concerned with what your kid thinks

This discussion was entirely between my wife and I. Kids weren't involved in the argument aspect. But as far as when the situation took place, it started raining and a cold wind blew in so the coaches called the games early. My son was cold and seemed more concerned with getting out of the rain than with what snack he was having. The lack of a donut for him didn't seem to phase him at all, which is another reason I think it's less of a big deal than my wife was making it out to be.

Also, this isn't creating some rift between my wife and I. It's something we disagree on, but we disagree on a lot of things. Our relationship is healthy. Not going to argue that perhaps we could use couples counseling, because I believe all couples/families could benefit from (at the very least) some counseling. Those concerned with how I worded this topic/poll - it was done very tongue-in-cheek. I'm not angry, my wife isn't angry. It's a simple disagreement.

You were right, your wife was wrong in this case. Give her a big kiss.
