Totally. Although I suspect during the later episodes they were blowing stuff up just for the hell of it, the experiments were interesting and the hosts kinda funny. The reboot had potential but I dunno what happened to it.

Depends on the experiment. Some actually were interesting I thought (i.e. how much water slow down bullets) while some didn't seem interesting (i.e. whether porta potties can accumulate enough methane to blow up)

It was good when they still had interesting Myths to test.

Near the end it was clear they were kind of out of ideas.

They rebooted the show with new (worse) hosts (and a lower budget) but it didn't change that they ran out of ideas for interesting things to test.

The experiments were viewer requested so I'm sure some weak choices crept through.

It wasn't canceled, as far as I knew it was one of their biggest shows. The hosts just had enough after so many years and I guess I can't blame them.

Back to what I was saying before the reboot had potential. The new hosts were stiff at first then relaxed after a few eps. They certainly weren't going to be as animated as the previous crew. You wonder if they didn't want to continue, if the ideas dried up, or if Disc is just holding onto the show until there's a break in the schedule. Or wait, was it Science channel?

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I thought it started going downhill around the time they started adding people besides Adam and Jamie. To be fair I don't think it was entirely their fault, but they didn't add anything to the show for me. I mean in theory with more people you'd think they could do more but it seemed like the show went from having three myths per episode on average to only two.

And they just started running out of good myths around that time. It was cool to see some unverified or mis-told urban legend, but the movie myths and shit were dumb. It's usually either something that's obviously fake because it was in a movie, or it's verifiable but you probably could have learned that by just finding out how the actual movie set it up. After a while I felt like it was more about just putting on a spectacle than actually testing myths.

I liked the Build Team but I wholeheartedly agree that all the movie myths were dumb... it's a fucking movie, of course shit doesn't work like that in real life >__>

I liked the later seasons more than the first season, but definitely felt they were including more and more 'faked silly moments that's obviously just acting' for runtime padding.

Whilst a lot of the movie myths were gonna be busted, they at least (mostly) were cool to see recreated (and blown up).

I liked the one about slapping some sense into someone. It proves plausible iirc due to being hit causes the flight or fight mode which raises alertness.

Also bull and a china shop and if elephants where scared of mice surprised me with the results

They ratings were already on the decline when they fired them. They tried to cut budget where they could knowing the show just wasn't going to be as big of a draw anymore regardless.

While true that a lot of people were upset by that, I think it's a little silly because everyone knows the show originally worked just fine with only Jamie and Adam at the start.
