political leanings aside (and I know he doesn't show all the people he talked to so who knows how often he gets"school") why would you argue with someone one who clearly has facts backing him up and is very knowledgeable about the topic being discussed when you, yourself, clearly don't have the same depth of knowledge on the topic?

I understand college campuses are full of students who think they are informed, but I've gone to college and I've never experienced people blatantly and ignorantly arguing a point to the level these people are.

I just found that interesting.

People need to be humbled. They'll never admit it outright, but subconsciously that's what they desire.

Dunning-Kruger effect

I don't know how accurate that would be simply because I would assume college educated people wouldn't qualify as low ability.

I guess relatively they're lower ability than the guy their arguing with. I don't know.

I disagree.

People don't like being humbled. People just like to virtue-signal.

These college kids get sexual gratification from arguing with Crowder while dozens of their friends and peers stand in line and watch. Even if they are "losing" the debate, they don't care. They just enjoy spouting off their precious feelings, because they honestly, in their hearts, think their feelings trump the facts.

It's virtue-signaling, which has become all too prevalent in today's society, thanks to social media and general narcissism due to parents always telling their kids they can be anything they set their hearts on.

Just an entire generation of spoiled children who wouldn't know true oppression or hardship if it came up and bit them in the ass....but they spend every waking hour claiming to be oppressed while actively looking for shit to be triggered by.

I like to call them "the professionally offended".

Humbling these types of people is an exercise in futility.

I think that's the college mindset. Debate and discourse are part of the culture and learning experience.

Well-said, but I will still try to humble them, when I come across them. I am willing to go up against a gang by myself, regardless if I win or lose. If I win, they'll be humbled; if I lose, I'll be humbled. I will video the exchanges, post it on social media, and everyone will laugh in the end. That's the idea, anyway.

My only problem is the host is always steering the conversation his way. When his opposite seems to be gaining a point over him, he'll switch details. Sometimes he'll steer the conversation back to an earlier point as well just to hammer in some leverage. Its annoying. He comes with facts, but I find him to be a dishonest debater.

That's true. He focuses the conversation almost strictly on existing laws and regulations and more or less brushes off anything not related to some form of written code.

As if suggesting someone can't be privileged if there isn't a formal law written about it, for example.

I'm not even saying he's wrong or arguing a point at all, but he won't let the conversation deviate from that point.

People don't care about facts. They think if you hear the same talking points enough times you'll be brainwashed into complacency.
