He's been the only decent part of their offense right now, which is saying very little. He isn't reliable or good enough to put any sort of faith in him though. They'd be better off with an actually decent WR.

I really can't figure out what this means for Tate. He goes from splitting time with MJJ and Golladay to splitting with Alshon and Ertz, but the run game in DET is actually better than the one in PHI right now.

I'm pretty sure he loses out by not being the #1 option (And I'm not even sure he'll be the #2. 2a/b with Alshon at best probably), but the Eagles do throw the ball more in general.

yeah I've been looking at the NE/PHI/DET pass catcher stats trying to decide with more information how I feel about Gordon for Tate

It's difficult to feel confident either way. NE spreads the ball around more, but they're just so good on offense and Gordon is the deep threat. He's barely missed on a couple bombs that would make his numbers look way better if he improves his connection with Brady. Basically impossible to predict what Tate's role/usage will be like in Philly.

One thing to consider is that Tate's run-in looks significantly harder

Gordon seems like more of a boom or bust player, and I would prefer something more consistent, but Tate could fall off the face of the Earth on a new team in a new system. The extra bye week for Tate hurts as well, especially when I can't afford to lose many more games. I'm 5-3, but my points scored are so low that I'm still in 7th place in a 12 team league.

The bye actually wouldn't really matter considering Gordon has his coming up, but my team is already pretty injured and I feel like I might be better equipped to deal with it in a few weeks.

An added bonus is I'm going against the Gordon owner this week, so I'd be taking him away from the owner while also giving him a player he can't use against me.

I wouldn't outright reject that trade in regular leagues. In dynasty? That feels like highway robbery. McCoy is a 30 year old running back on a bad team and you have the opportunity to ship him off for a much younger player on good offensive team? Unless there's something I'm missing, I'd take that in a heartbeat.
