Imagine putting the current situations blame on singular citizens when in reality it's well known that governments and big businesses are the cause of it all. Just like blaming cars for the road damage when studies have shown 80% of road damage are caused by large trucks.

CO2 isn't as big a deal as NOx, and lean burn cars made to offset CO2 emissions burn hotter, making waaaay more NOx. Technically, CO2 emission regulation caused more damage at one point.

Well, it literally is fake news. The source isn't "the Trump administration" and the NHTSA -- a government organization with no expertise nor role in science -- was referencing outside projections for a hypothetical scenario. More importantly, a 7-degree increase in global temperature doesn't mean close to what people seem to think. And if you're going to pretend that this is the "Trump administration," you could wrongly attribute any other branch of government and claim it came from the Trump administration.

Public opinion and actions drive policy. If individuals aren't showing up to rallies, supporting interest groups, and making proactive choices towards goals as a group of like-minded people, then all it amounts to is complaining on the internet.

People have this far-fetched idea that the government is supposed to be all-knowing and all-powerful with a healthy conscious and upstanding moral well-being. That's not how it works. If they see that the public isn't making a stand for a cause, then give me one reason why they should care to do anything about it? It's empirical in nature, the government serves the people when the people decide something needs to be done.

At this point in time, the public hasn't banded together well enough for them to do anything. It does fall under public responsibility for that change.
