They are secretly taking information from the players. the workers at Templar headquarters are recruited based off there dna to make new games (but really they are trying to find more relics). And that's the over all plot. it really small and weak. The Assassin are still trying to stop Templars I haven't beaten origin yet (because the game is total shit and a step back), but basically they are trying to make another Desmin character. Your an archeologist searching her past to find some relic for the Templars.
