True, the general consensus seems to be that GameFAQs was awesome 10 years ago and people assume it's now dead... BUT it's still getting plenty of support from people who prefer a few lines of text when they get stuck in a game versus skipping around in a 20 minute youtube video to try to find that. (Which matches what SB's been saying for years about how the site gets more hits than ever in 2018, from people googling for an answer and then immediately leaving instead of becoming a poster or voting on the front page like they used to.) And there's a little less high-fiving over butthurt Draven/Undertale reactions than I expected, which is nice. Archiving topics has helped tremendously to get hits to random obscure questions people have made and that I have had as well.
