Xbox One I give a 4/5 because we never got a truly Earth-shaking iconic exclusive like Halo or Gears that the last two Xboxes introduced.

Awesome. All the stuff I liked from the 360 and the bc and games with gold is great. Planning on buying an X on or before black Friday.

I'm a fan of Xbox, and have had all the consoles, but damn if the dashboard isn't always laggy and glitchy, "Sorry, something went wrong" or just being dashboarded. I've experienced this now with the Xbox One, the One S, and just got an X1X a couple weeks ago and it still does it. If they would simplify it for the sake of performance over a ton of content, it would be so much better.

Otherwise, EA Access and Game Pass has saved me so much money overall, and both are fantastic programs. A lot of people bitch about the exclusives, but honestly, I think both of these monthly programs heavily outweigh the lack of exclusives, especially being games like Forza Horizon 4 are available to download day one with Game Pass. That's literally a half year subscription paying for itself with one game.

The controller is great, it offers more native 4k games and HDR gaming than it's competition, and overall i'm pleased with it, but damnit, get the dashboard right already.

Honestly, I'm an avid collector of video games and consoles. I mean, I have a lot of shitty consoles. Hell, I even dropped $$$ for a jaguar just to have it along with the CD add on.

I mean I'd say probably give 4/5 but I do have complaints. I do feel that I got my money's worth strictly out of Halo, but that doesn't excuse the lack of other exclusives. Now that I have a PC, and now that Halo will be on PC, I think any future Microsoft console will be obsolete. I probably should have just got a PS4, but like I said, I did get some good times out of Halo still.

The lack of notable exclusives is the only flaw that the Xbox One has compared to the others, but that's a major flaw in some people's eyes. It's the best console of the three in terms of all the different features it has (backwards compatibility, Game Pass, Games With Gold, EA Access, etc.), plus I like the menus, UI, and controller better than PS4's. Besides certain kinds of games (like RPG's, indie games, and Sonic Mania) that go well with the portability of the Switch, I buy all of my multiplatform games on XB1.

I bought it at the time because it was cheapest, but I genuinely love Forza and have played the hell out of those games. EA Access and Game Pass both allowed me to try out games I otherwise wouldn't have, some of which I've really enjoyed. Good stuff.

Uhh, that is incorrect. Multiplats played better on 360 because the PS3 hardware was a complete clusterfuck. Plus Xbox Live was way more active and more advanced than PSN.

I got my X1X a month ago.

So far I'd give it a 3/5

The games that are X1X Enhanced are incredible, though. It often feels like jumping a whole generation. Sonic Generations and Portal 2 being 360 games with 4K assets makes them look incredible too.

Game selection is pretty mediocre compared to PS4 though. Game Pass is amazing.

Couldn't sleep last night, was up thinking of how powerful the Xbox One X is
Typically I go to bed around 11 every night, so I'm well-rested and energized for work the next day.

Last night, I got into bed at 11 as usual, but when I closed my eyes, I just couldn't fall asleep. My mind was racing. The Xbox One X is not only the most powerful console ever created, but it is also the smallest console on the market.

I tossed and turned in bed. I could not get comfortable. How could I expect to just drift off to sleep knowing that this November, just 4 months from now,gamers will get to experience true raw power, right from their living rooms?

I called up my girlfriend, who goes to bed at 8pm (as women are wont to do). "Hey babe," I said. I could hear her shifting from her sleep. "I can't sleep. I keep thinking of how powerful Microsoft's latest console, the Xbox One X is. Never before has a home console been a 6 teraflop powerhouse before and contained 12GB of RAM."

"Babe," she said, "it's 11pm. I need my 16 hours of sleep so I can face a full day tomorrow of being indecisive about what I want to eat for every meal. Why are you so concerned with such raw power so late at night?"

I howled with disgust. "Woman, listen to me," I screamed into the phone. "It is not every day that such a powerful console comes out. There has never been a console with such speed, yet such elegance, and there never will be again, at least until Microsoft makes the next Xbox. If you cannot understand this situation then perhaps we should see other people."

With that, I hung up on my ex-girlfriend and chucked my iPhone across the room. It smashed against the wall and landed into a pile of my other broken iPhones. Now I am exhausted at work and the Xbox One X is still the most powerful and smallest console on the market.

5/5. Don't give a shit about exclusives, never had any issues with any of the menus or dashboard or any of that. Play a ton of games and watch a ton on movies with it and it's been pretty flawless.

4.5/5 on the One X after being a Playstation head for the past 10 years.

-Better, faster UI
-A console store that doesn't shit itself every time you try to use it
-Backwards compatibility
-Better 4K multiplatforms
-Game Pass and EA Access shit all over Playstation Now
-Xbox controllers feel more durable than Dualshock 4s
-Free cloud backups that work seamlessly between 360 and Xbox One X
-Gripes are minor (no eject software feature, no way to check update notes)

If it weren't for the exclusives I'd give up my PS4 Pro in a heartbeat

its easily the best console outside of exclusives, which admittedly is a big thing. i have both a ps4 pro and xbox one x and only use the playstation for exclusives. the xbox gets used for literally everything else.

Solid 4/5. Backwards compatibility is huge for me, I have a ton of old 360 games I like to go back to. The controller is the best. Personal opinion, but I like the interface so much more than my PS4s. Game Pass is pretty badass. Is lacking exclusives though. A few good ones, but not as much as it's competition. When I have the choice available, I buy on Xbox.

My only gripe is that the most important thing about a console is game selection. That said, the X1X Enhanced X360 thing is really cool. I bought Portal 2 for eight bucks and I'm playing it in native 4K. Basically feels brand new.

360 was a 5/5.

Xbone I give a 2.5. But it's really more the fault of a crappy console generation (and the games of this generation) than anything else. Although I am excited for RDR2, Soul Calibur, and I think there will be a few more games worth getting before next gen.

But I think this might be my last console (outside of Nintendo). Consoles had an edge over PC gaming but that time is now basically completely over. I'll probably invest in a PC when next gen starts.

No, it doesn't. Their only answers to it are Playstation Now, a streaming service that lags so much it makes games unplayable, and making you rebuy games you already owned digitally on PS3.

Honestly, the fact that I've had a PS4 Pro break on me THREE times is why PS4 went from being my preferred console to the garbage bin.
