41 pounds as of this morning. I think I last checked in about a month ago at 30 pounds lost. I was bitching then about not being able to crack the 230 pound barrier. Well I read somewhere that crappy scales can get stuck and to take the batteries out and put them back in. I did. 226.

Now I'm sitting pretty at 219 and am 44 pounds away from my goal weight. In reality, however, I'm already looking a ton better, and think by 200 pounds I will basically look as good as I will at 175. I'm still playing Beat Saber every day and I think I've put on 5-10 pound of muscle in my arms and legs playing it. It's hard to tell because I think I've added a bit of muscle everywhere as opposed to a lot in a few places.

I'm really, really considering getting some Mickey D's to celebrate making 40 pounds. I haven't had it since June and I'm Jonesin. I'll probably bitch out and eat some soup like usual, but I've had this craving for a week and I don't think it will pass until I get my Double QP and fries.

Yep! I'm down to the lowest weight I've been at in the past seven years or so. By a pound and a half but hey, I'll take it! That's a total of 16 pounds and I hope to continue this up.

This doesn't just apply to McDonald's - I've realized that it applies to a lot of stuff. Including some candy bars, genetically modified cheese, and anything with "high fructose corn syrup." Because of this realization, my diet is changing significantly.

When I have a burger, I want a REAL one. One that's made with real beef, never frozen, and cooked the right way. When I do go out to eat - which isn't as often - I go to a local restaurant or smaller chain, not to some major chain that is only trying to cut corners to make more cash. I can ensure I am getting healthier food that way.

Update: ate the McDonalds. Food was gross greasy trash but I did enjoy my medium Sprite.

Back to soup and protein bars.

Congrats on the progress. Careful with protein bars some have tons of crap in the unless you're strictly doing a CICO diet approach.

Not to take away from your awesome work but you didn't gain 10lbs of muscle mass from playing a game man

I'd say it's closer to 5. I went from having 0 definition to playing the game at a top-1% level. I come from the DDR world so I'm really good at these games. I've been playing it an hour a day for ninety strait days, so I'm going to assume it's been worth something. If not that's fine.

Ya, pure CICO. I just don't eat that much. The bars are great because a lot of the times I'm kind of hungry and kind of bored. Instead of eating a real meal I have a 170 calorie bar and it keeps me satisfied for several hours.

I've been a skinnny guy my whole life. I got put on these meds that made me gain 80 pounds in six months. Now I'm off them and losing weight about as fast as I gained it. That seems fair.

The game has about 200,000 sales and I'm currently ranked 515 overall. Pretty much every song I play has me swinging my arms like a freak the whole time.

You hold two controllers, one in each hand. This is a VR game. You swing your arms to slash the sabers through the blocks. You slash the blue blocks with your right controller and red blocks with your left. It's a rhythm game like DDR, only you use your arms.

I don't do any "active" games. I do a lot of walking and a little of yoga. And by "a lot of walking" I mean racking up ridiculous numbers. This is in my self-containment topic, but I got 20,100 steps Monday and 15,400 yesterday. Absolutely absurd numbers for someone who works a desk job!

My medications are making it tougher to shed more weight. I gained 40 pounds because of one - and despite still being on it, I lost all that weight. I'm going to try to reduce my doe so I can shed even more. I have the freedom to do so because this is a "use what is necessary to control your pain" Gabapentin prescription. If I take one 300mg less a day, I think I can manage my weight better. I'm reducing it one day a week at a time. I think 900mg total a day is enough for me at the point I am at. The other prescriptions are wholly necessary and are less tied to weight gain, but it can still exist as a side effect.

It's really just eating better and walking more that's doing this. Burn more calories, consume fewer. Boom.
