My middle school did jack shit. They didn't tell us anything at all during the day. I didn't know anything was even happening until I came home from school and saw the news. The next day, they talked about it in homeroom a bit and had a moment of silence and that was it >_>

What did your school do?

I literally saw it happening right out my window, so there was no hiding it. I know we ended up having lunch early and our principal was talking to us about it a bit during lunch. Then lots of kids got picked up early by their parents, including myself.

I only found out about the Pentagon and Flight 93 though when my mom told me about it on our way home.

it wasnt until i got home and saw my dad watching it on the news i actually found out what happened:

Nothing. I was in Hawaii, so the event occurred well before school started. There was some mention of it in morning class, but otherwise it was business as usual.

I heard about it on the news before heading to high school. First class, the teacher had class as normal but few people were paying attention. Second class, news. Lunch, I and other students I normally hung out with gathered in a classroom with news on. Third class was my off period, news. Last class of the day, the class put it up for a vote and decided that we had heard enough news for the day and had class as normal.

9th grade. Most of the teachers left the TVs on while they tried to teach, but no one really was paying attention to class and most teachers just gave up on lessons.

I remember saying that it was probably Osama Bin Laden and no one knew who that was. I said "You'll all certainly know now". Sure enough his face was everywhere over the next few days.

I had multiple teachers from NY. my first period teacher had it on the news and was crying hard. Kids in the class were trying to calm her down.

My science teacher was from NY and had it on TV and had tears but wasnt sobbing. She looked at me and my friend Shawn (both from NY) and screamed at us for just talking and acting like everything is fine. How can you guys be fine when they hit the towers you are from New York!

Me: Well i moved from NY like three years ago, none of my bigger family ever lived in NY.

Shawn: Im from buffalo, its messed up though

She wasnt happy with that answer.
