The cartoon isnt racist. The image is depicting her as a big baby, so its hard to draw a flattering image of her being mad and stomping. As far as the other player depicted, I think they are poking fun at the fact that shell get mad like this against any future opponents. It could be any one of the typical blonde white women that litter womens tennis.

Does Serena not have a muscular figure? Does she not have frizzy/curly hair? You want to argue the lips and nose, but again, even some of those Obama portraits have exaggerations to his lips, ears, teeth and other things.

I raise the question again; how is Serenas depiction here wrong and Obamas is OK?

And the argument about the judge being white and the opponent being white is totally not relevant. They aren't the focal point of the cartoon. If he re-drew Ramos and Osaka instead, does it really change the point of the image?

again, newspaper cartoons are typically meant to satirically skewer a person or event. Given Serena Williams has roundly been criticised for her on court behaviour the other day anyway, I'm not sure how that was ever meant to be achieved here. You get the feeling the artist just wanted to draw an exaggerated racially charged caricature of a black person and saw it as the perfect excuse.

Not everyone has a gimmick. The entire concept of a gimmick is pretty weird. I googled mammy to find out what people are talking about. The lips are really the only thing the cartoonist went overboard on, and that could have been to draw attention to her whinging. The cartoonist drew Serena with toned muscles, ffs.

I would have preferred that Osaka was drawn perfectly, but it's really not the point in a satire of Serena's behavior.

This is the THIRD U.S. Open final that Serena was losing and got disciplined by the chair umpire, but her sycophants are going to plug their ears, close their eyes, and shout about how the world is racist, sexist, and out to get her.

Again:

tl,dr: The cartoon may have stepped over a line, but the general sentiment and fact that Serena whined and got what she deserved on Saturday is still true. People who don't follow tennis will see this and decide the incident must be an example of racism and sexism after all.
