And if so, for what? I mean, because you can rent movies, buy movies, rent games, or buy games. Maybe other stuff, too. But IDK. So, do you use Redbox, and if so, what do you usually do at them?

sometimes. I have actually only done it 3 times. all in the past year. I never used to even try it. but I recently moved very close to a redbox and I figured out it actually is a good deal. only about 2 dollars for a movie. and sometimes it's even cheaper cause they send out discount codes in emails if you have an account with them

I rented Thor Ragnarok, Justice League and recently rented Infinity War even though I already saw it in theaters, to watch with my parents who hadn't seen it.

I've never really considered games. I feel it's not as good a deal. unless you can beat the game in a short time. it's just not worth it to me. I hate trying to rush through a game on a time limit.

Pretty often, especially when they offer free or discounted rentals. I also buy games when they go on sale for cheap (I've been lucky enough to never get a fake disc).

I go through phases. Sometimes I rent from Redbox like twice and week and watch a ton of movies. Mostly I dont really touch them though. Sometimes Ill check and see if they have anything worth getting when Im leaving the store. Dont get anything though.

Only game I have ever rented was just a piece of paper and not the actual disc, so I stopped renting games from them

Theres only one Redbox machine in town and its right outside the Dollar General store.

Plus the redbox machine is a piece of crap. the touch screen doesnt work most of the time and doesnt even go to a movie youre trying to pick.

Plus no videogames in the damn thing. Just bunch of old crap like Will Farrel's Elf movie and awful horror movies that youd expect to see at a Blockbuster

I used it a handful of times, once to rent a game and a couple of times for movies.

Now that I have Netflix though (and enough PC games to last me the rest of my life) I don't bother with it anymore.

1/2 the time when trying to rent or return I usually had to wait for someone in front of me.. then the locations doubled and suddenly no one uses 'em anymore

I'll definitely rent Ant Man 2 when it releases

Nah. I don't think there's one anywhere here anymore, but I didn't bother while it was available. I have three classes of games/movies: "if I'm given it I'll try it" or "I will buy it" or "zero interest"

Basically, if I really want it I will buy it, otherwise Netflix or nothing.

Not even close. You get one movie for that price when you pay for Netflix and get unlimited movies.

Netflix is $7.99 a month at the minimum (For the DVD service where they actually have a good selection of movies)
Redbox is $2 a movie

I watch 4 movies on a really really good month, this isn't cheaper for me.

You also get TV series. Also 4 movies a month would be the same price. Streaming is better for Netflix anyway.

I think they mean that on most months, they don't watch 4, which is why they said they watch 4 on a good month. Meaning it's cheaper for them to rent through Redbox. I personally like Netflix, but it also depends on what they have on Netflix or in Redbox. They may have different things. Mean it might be cheaper to rent the movie there is certain cases...

That is probably it. I mean for me I know I am getting ripped off paying for Netflix because I only touch it maybe once a month to watch a movie. If I went to Redbox for that same movie, I would be saving 8 - 9 dollars a month. That said, I hate going outside, so Netflix is better for that I guess.

True. You don't have to leave the house. And possibly wait in line, if there is one. And they usually don't have a HUGE selection. But sometimes, they have that one movie you want o see that's not streaming anywhere...

Redbox usually gets newer movies quicker than Netflix DVD/Bluray iirc.
You also have to consider the frequent discounts and free rentals.

This is why I said Redbox is cheaper than streaming services in an earlier post.
I wasn't referring to Netflix/Hulu/etc. I was referring to rental streaming services.
Most online streaming rentals are $4-6+ iirc.
