Netflix is $7.99 a month at the minimum (For the DVD service where they actually have a good selection of movies)
Redbox is $2 a movie

I watch 4 movies on a really really good month, this isn't cheaper for me.

You also get TV series. Also 4 movies a month would be the same price. Streaming is better for Netflix anyway.

I think they mean that on most months, they don't watch 4, which is why they said they watch 4 on a good month. Meaning it's cheaper for them to rent through Redbox. I personally like Netflix, but it also depends on what they have on Netflix or in Redbox. They may have different things. Mean it might be cheaper to rent the movie there is certain cases...

Redbox usually gets newer movies quicker than Netflix DVD/Bluray iirc.
You also have to consider the frequent discounts and free rentals.

even if you are going to rent a movie, there are sites that let you rent.

youtube for example

This is why I said Redbox is cheaper than streaming services in an earlier post.
I wasn't referring to Netflix/Hulu/etc. I was referring to rental streaming services.
Most online streaming rentals are $4-6+ iirc.
