I'm still of the mind Edgar is the strongest FFVI character by a decent margin so I'd go with him.

Yuffie probably #2 (or #3 behind Sabin)

Lulu is another possibility that nobody has mentioned yet. But I really have no idea who would be the strongest. I think Chocobo would actually do better than Boko, since Boko is from a weak game and its owner, Bartz, is not exactly a popular character.

She also gets the bonus of being a recognizable character from Kingdom Hearts because you meet her in Traverse Town. I knew her in that game before I knew she was from FFVII. I'm also really young and FFVII was released before I was born so this could be a very miniscule boost if any kind of boost at all.

Eh, I don't think Yuffie would do all that well. I doubt she'd be any better than Barret at any rate. I don't think generic Black Mage would do all that well either. Vivi works because he's a character everyone loves AND has that design. Black Mage would only have half the formula (and Vivi has a superior design anyway). I don't know that Mog or generic chocobo would do all that well either. The design is only worth so much.

I mean it might be Yuffie or Red XIII anyway just because I doubt there's another character from another game that we haven't gotten in yet other than Noct who would be worth anything. Maaaaaaaaaybe Laguna, but I doubt it. I guess there's a chance an iconic summon like Bahamut would do well, but I'd be kinda skeptical.

Also, I'd like to see Locke get another chance now that he's in Dissidia because he finally has some decent artwork to choose from. Dissidia giving Kefka better stuff to choose from seems to have done wonders for him, if nothing else.

On that same note, get Rinoa in again (although her Dissidia design is inferior to the original but whatever).

Yeah she got screwed in that match, and she'd probably get a Dissidia boost. I don't think she would get in again without another big rallly though.

She got in last time largely because I was pushing hard for her and rallying as many noms as I possibly could. I'm going for a different character this year, and who knows what the field size is like.

I'd love to see Rinoa again in a non-SFF match, but I'm not holding my breath.

Celes beating Seifer with her Amano art is wild, though she did have cutscene art on the poll page which might have mitigated that.

Cecil I'll give you, but Terra has definitely improved over the years. Slightly better pics doesn't account for going from 28% on Dante to 36% on Squall (with SFF) and 44% on a slightly LFF'd Kirby.

Terra has only clearly had her distinctive green hair in two match pics - against Darth Revan and against Vyse/Galcian with Kefka in the Rivalry Rumble, two characters that she was probably beating anyway. In other pics she had her blonde hair or the lighting was such that you couldn't even see the green. That includes her relatively decent numbers against Kirby and Squall.

But it's mostly besides the point. I agree with Mewtwo, the odds of the strongest character still getting snubbed being from one of the NES/SNES titles is practically 0.
