I've never owned one but I have several friends who have and they love them. We get them in at work all the time. They're too small for me to consider buying one for myself, but they're fun to drive.

I love Mazda so it would be the car I buy if I bought that size car. That said, I don't like little cars like that. My dad had a convertible when I was a kid and we both hated it.

The newer 2019 one has upgrades to the engine components because people kept complaining it was underpowered. Redline is at 7500, and HP is up to 181 from 155. So it's competing with Honda pretty decently now for naturally aspirated.

And the s2000 is old and way more powerful than a Miata. Hell my old 2007 civic si is faster than a brand new Miata. And mexicans maybe in your country but not ALL other countries.. your an American I'm guessing..

Also lol 7500 rpm. My 07 si is like 8200/8400 stock redline, flash it to 8600/9000 easy. Ap1 s2000 is 9000 stock, ap2 8000 stock.

A V8 Mustang gt is now 7500, so for 7500 on a 4 banger Miata is not impressive at all.

Rear wheel drive roadster, fun to drive. Small enough to be a bit impractical, but so are most 2-seat sports cars. Desirable car, the modern equivalent of an MGB/TR4/Alfa Spider.

My Supra will haul anything I can shove through the hatch and fit over the folded passenger seat. 7' martial arts staves, etc. no problem.

Haven't hauled much in my BMW cabrio yet, tiny trunk restricted by the well for the top, it does have a "ski access" for loading long items through the rear seats above the driveshaft tunnel. School starts in a few days, I'll see if it can haul a few boxes of teaching materials.

I almost got an RX7 once, passed because of the limited space inside for a daily driver/occasional grocery getter.

There's a reason that a lot of classic MGs, Healeys, etc., had trunk racks.

People can dislike Mazda if they want. The rotery motor sucks ass in many different ways. And most of their cars have poor to average build quality. I'm not a Mazda guy myself.

That's for a reason. Early models had insufficient oil squirters for the rotor so if not properly maintained they shit the bed at a certain mileage. This can be fixed by either adding a little 2 stroke oil with your fuel or adding additional squirters like the later models have. Look at the prices for post-revision RX-8s.
