Today's tropes is the Disney Villain Death

It appears that villains in the Disney Animated Canon have an especially curious tendency to exit the film by falling off or out of things. Unfortunately for them, even though they are animated characters, they cannot defy gravity.

The varied list of things to fall from includes cliffs, over waterfalls, out of trees, and off the tops of buildings. There is at least one case of a Disney villain meeting his end by falling up (off a space ship and into space), and once sideways (off the Chinese Imperial Palace by aid of a rocket). A surprising number of Disney villains have also been dragged to their doom by demons (from three to five depending on how you're counting).

Keep in mind that you don't have to be a Disney villain to meet your end this way many villains and other characters in action movies, cartoons, books, and other works have also met with this fate, although it's fair to say that most heroes have ways to survive taking the long fall.

Another character pushes him over a railing, he grabs on to save himself, but his poison corrodes the railing and makes him fall.)

Couldn't remember the Robocop guy's name for a second, but the death is super memorable since the effects are so terrible and he gets noodle arms for some reason.

Scar claims innocence by throwing his only true allies under the elephant in a last ditch effort to save his own pelt... and then there's this guy

that's sort of why I think Clayton is the epitome of Disney Death

1. Goes after Tarzan even after his plan fails
2. chases Tarzan into the trees where he's at an obvious disadvantage
3. after Tarzan breaks his weapon he CONTINUES to leap into a the vines where he doesn't have any kind of footing
4. after getting tangled in vines begins wildly swinging his machete at them
5. specifically ignores Tarzan's warnings that he's about to get himself killed
6. falls and dies brutally
