Hanekawa has the unique distinction as the only female MC in an anime to lose to a rival even when she's the first one introduced (disclaimer I have only watched a few hundred anime so I can't really say if this holds true for vast majority of aniime)

Yeah, the idea of 'first girl wins' is introduction in the narrative, not chronological/in-story introduction. If it were the latter, childhood friends would literally always win LOL

well it's a triangle, since technically Senjougahara is the first girl since that's the first arc, but then technically Shinobu is the first girl since Kizumonogatari is first chronologically...

I feel like you've watched or at least checked out most of the big names but I may be misremembering what you've seen. Maybe try Killing Bites, if it looks like something you might like? It was pretty good quality as long as you aren't immediately turned off by the tone and premise.

As Wotakoi's biggest defender I cant really say it held it together. Some episodes were just terrible.

It's mostly the same but it kinda pulls an Aria the Natural, with some eps focusing on mysterious supernatural-ish stuff.

I thought Amanchu S2 was super awful (2/10 vs 9/10 for the first season) but my opinions are rarely universal. If you've seen and enjoyed the first season it might be worth a look. A few episodes were okay.

I think it's actually a pretty common opinion to prefer Hanekawa over Senjou <_<

...though I guess Senjou has five times as many favorites on MAL. Huh. Didn't think the difference would be that stark. Shinobu's fairly close behind Senjou though, with Araragi in third (I think Hanekawa's fourth).

That's surprisingly not bad for the rankings of the unwashed masses

There are SO many shounen mobile games now. DBZ, Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, MHA, HxH, YYH, Fairy Tail and probably a lot of others. So many mobile games in general lol

I'm sad the Rewrite Mobage never got localized and died within a year in Japan

DanMachi continues to have the most generous gacha ever. Got 2 of the new Tiona already. She looks so good. Actually having good rate-ups and guarantees makes this so much better than a majority of the shit out there.

I actually liked that MHA chapter a lot. The other student vs. student arcs really struggled with making interesting match ups with new powers because it was too much or too chaotic.

Yeah, I've been enjoying it. I feel like the edginess hits a sweet spot where it's so over the top that it's fun instead of gross or infuriating. It's interesting to see how all the crazy people react and try to justify themselves.

Well. Durarara is one of my favorite anime and spans quite a few seasons, so that would be a pretty easy pick for your project. Katanagatari is very good unless you can't stand Nisioisin.

Durarara is a bit long for me to start it any time soon but I'll add it to my 'someday' list. Katanagatari will likely be my choice unless I can't track it down, leaving Sound of the Sky as my fallback since it's on Crunchyroll. Anyway, thanks everyone!

I would've asked this awhile ago but last time I checked I saw Katanagatari and thought 'oh good, one of the Monogatari seasons will fill this blank'. If only I had looked into it more than not at all.

My only other remaining blank is Summer 2011 but Yuru Yuri will cover that. I've been watching one episode of Yuru Yuri a day this past week so I'll get there soon.
