It wasn't revealed until a few months ago that the reason he committed suicide is because he was actually fired from ChannelAwesome because it came to light that he had abused and raped a few teenage girls. The info you mentioned only came out in the middle of an entirely different controversy, where the shitty people who run the channel sort of threw out a distraction to try and take the heat off themselves for being terrible, only to make themselves look even worse and open up a few other cans of worms in the process. But yeah, multiple issues with molestation and harassment from multiple different offenders, a lot of really scummy business practices, an extremely hostile work environment behind the scenes, and generally abusive behavior on the part of a lot of people in power are kind of just the tip of the iceberg.
