Sorry for doing that to you, flubbin. I realized that if I used an Apple Gel on Tear that, without any bonus, she'd be unstoppable. I got luckier than some others, it seems... but 75% odds were ones I was willing to take.

Though looks like I would've actually been safer if I'd stuck with my original idea of just using a Hi-Potion on each of them. It would've been a tie if Tom had used a Hi-Potion on Rikku, and then I dunno what would've happened since it would've been 730 dummy vs 730 Rikku.

But looking at it closer now I see that if I'd really paid attention to how the rules said the battles would play out, then just using 2 Hi-Potions on Vivi would've been the closest thing to a sure-thing. Only a Persona boost/FF penalty on a 2 Hi-Potion Futaba could've beaten him I think.

There will be a head to head battle with randomized matchups in Round 7. It will involve your 6 [Pokemon]. There will be an item limit of 4. You will not be able to [BUY] items in Round 7. Type Clause will be in effect. There will be a 50% chance of a random condition/status inflicting three of your Pokemon. If your Pokemon has died, they will be replaced by a dummy (Lv. 50). Dummies can not get boosts and are vulnerable to all statuses. You may use items on dummies. The winner will be whoever has the larger sum of all final values of their team. The starting value will be your Pokemon's level x10.

You can [FIGHT] any of the three [BOSS]es. This takes up one action. Party members can only be in 1 boss-fighting party at a time.

You can go to the [Arena] with 1 [Character] to test your skills. How successful you are will be determined by RNG (some experience is guaranteed). There is an entry fee (300). You may also receive money depending on your success. Characters may not go to the [Arena] more than once in a round. This takes up one action.

You can go to the [Temple] with 1 [Character] to meditate. You will gain a set amount of experience. The growth from the [Temple] is higher than the minimum possible growth from the [Arena]. Characters may not go to the [Temple] more than once in a round. This takes up one action.

You can go to the [Forest of Light] with up to 2 Pokemon to train. How successful you are will be determined by RNG (some experience is guaranteed). Pokemon may not go to the [Forest of Light] more than once in a round. This takes up two actions.

You can also [Do Nothing]. There is a small chance of incurring an advantage from this option. Whatever that means. The odds have very slightly changed. This takes up one action.

Buying and using non-battle items do not take up any actions.

The round will end either when everybody has posted five actions or when ~24 hours has passed ( ).

You could have also just seen that I wasted money on a regular potion! Potion Rikku loses to Naked Vivi and they're both from the same series so effects don't matter

Having an annoying ant problem that is kind of throwing me off of everything including this so if i miss something or don't answer a question you had that's part of it.

as it is right now, you won't see the results of the Arena until the end of the round when everyone has posted their actions/24 hours have passed. i say "as of right now" because i am considering a change per Ermine's question of being able to see results then fight a boss.

So obviously it would make sense in the case of boss fights to see the results of training and then decide whether or not to fight because victory % against bosses are affected by your levels. The way it is right now where the results of all actions are posted at the end of the round is because of two main reasons. First, it's just continuing the trend from earlier rounds where the descriptions of locations didn't tell you everything and decision-making was more encouraged by feel/personality/situation than just straight up knowing the odds. Obviously this round where locations are being reused, the odds are no secret so that same reason isn't really applicable.

Second, and this is the bigger reason, is that it's just easier for me to organize results and apply all the changes at once near the end as opposed to small changes over the course of the day. If results of actions are posted mid-round, later decisions during the round would be contingent on those results and that would mean waiting on me to get back to you there's no guarantee how long that would be. I don't want people to be waiting on anyone to make their own decisions which is why battle conditions for next round were told upfront this time. And again, it's easier for me to just post everything at the end.

I'm leaning right now to just keep it the same with all results being posted at the end which means you unfortunately wouldn't be able to act upon any results e.g. spending any possible arena winnings. Stressing again that all this is a work in progress and I'm experimenting with formats and trying different things to see how things work and how they're received. So I am very open to feedback.

As a side note which also factors into this, I am 95% sure that even if everyone got the max results from training, nobody would break 10% victory chance.
