Well, Sazh survived the first round of the ACTUAL contest at least, even if he had a very premature elimination here. 20 rounds remain!

Rules:

- You personally (No bots/scripts/lending of accounts) can save 1 character per hour.
- A character needs 1 vote to be saved.
- 1 unique user needs to save a character for that character to be saved.
- Ambiguous (i.e. "Cid" or "Cloud") or "If X, then Y" saves will not count.

Welp, that sucks. I genuinely can never tell if Faris is just unpopular, or if FFV is so forgotten that people have stronger opinions about everything else. But anyway, Faris is my favorite FF character. She just ticks a lot of boxes for me. She falls within that "badass secondary female" category I talked about with Freya. But while Freya just stopped as a character at the end of disc two, Faris just had a variety of layers to her character. First off, you meet Faris and she's kind of in this gender fluid scenario (which, knowing me, makes me like her even more) where she's a woman in a traditionally male-dominated profession, and thus she has to hide her gender in order to maintain an aura of dominance. But for whatever reason, her crew can't identify her femininity, but the male party members can, so she eventually has her secret revealed.

Once that reveal happens, you get another Shyamalan twist when it's revealed that Faris is Lenna's long-lost older sister, making her a princess in her own right. And ever the chameleon, Faris adapts to the role. But she's not quite comfortable in that princess gown type scenario. And she reveals as much to Bartz when he goes to speak with the newly-discovered Princess Sarisa. Ultimately, Faris bucks tradition and decides that she's not gonna be a princess just because genetics want to be one. So she maintains that awesome pirate aura and spends the game as the best character you've got. I really do like her a ton, and I wish she had more fans than she does.

everything i know about Faris makes me believe i would really like her and i'm pretty right about these. i think there's only been like two characters who i thought i would like a lot that i ended up not liking as much and they were both Fire Emblem characters.
