I finished the third Baccano light novel last night. They managed to make Czes more sympathetic here than he was in the anime, although I still enjoyed it when Claire knocked all the smarminess out of him.

Isaac and Miria are still the best though.

Toadette in 2006 but I'm pretty sure a large number of Gurus refused to even nominate her because they thought it was so stupid (it was also the very first Guru nom so there wasn't quite the solidarity to nominate it despite how terrible of an idea it was back then I guess)

oh and S3&K didn't make it in 2015 but that was because Allen told us that he added Metacritic scores and stuff like that to the criteria for making the bracket (would have been nice if he had told us that during noms but hey)

he did say S3&K had the most noms of something that didn't qualify to make the bracket so it probably would have gotten in if not for that (we used the Steam port to try to get the game in on a technicality since it wasn't like the platform would be listed next to the game in the bracket, but since the Steam port had no Metacritic scores and whatnot, it kept S3&K from getting in)

Tales of Xillia beated (Jude's story, anyway). Fun game, although I was kinda ready for it to be over by the end. I'll probably just move on to Xillia 2 instead of replaying as Milla to get the stuff I missed. I might replay the game one day as Milla, who knows.

Symphonia > Abyss > Xillia

Pretty clear cut between the three to me.

Playable cast rankings:

Jude > Milla > Alvin > Elize > Rowen > Leia

Pretty decent cast. They really played up how different they all are from each other, which was interesting. Didn't feel like they had the chemistry of Symphonia or Abyss though.

I guess I should wait to add to the Female Character Rankings until after Xillia 2.

I think Leon usually hates it when there's a baseball or other sports episode in something like Haruhi or FMP, so he wouldn't like regular sports anime. I mean, if he actually liked those episodes there'd be a chance, but he doesn't, so eh.

There actually is a volleyball anime with girls airing right now, incidentally. Haven't seen it though.

If you have feel anything relatable to the competitive nature of sports and/or a story of team-building riffraff into a competent group of allies you should fine lots to love about Haikyuu.

I would recommend Baby Steps because of its romcom elements, but it does have a lot of tennis.

I'm watching Harukana Receive and it's pretty good. It's easy to follow the back-and-forth of the matches, there are a lot of fun moments, and the cute girls are getting decent development. It's way better than the miserable experience that is Hanebado, also this season.

That said, Harukana is only my third favorite sports anime after Scorching Ping Pong Girls and Keijo (which isn't a recommendation, Leonhart would hate Keijo).

I mean, they're okay in moderation. I don't dislike those episodes, but they certainly aren't my favorite and I wasn't clamoring for more of them.
