His full contractis that. He has ~$4M left. But I think I saw conflicting sources anyway regarding who pays what, so that may be the case the Rangers are paying.

Also:
Sources: The Twins are getting RHP Jhoan Duran, OF Ernie De La Trinidad and OF Gabriel Maciel from the Diamondbacks for Eduardo Escobar. All three are at Class A Kane County.

Should be good benchmark for Asdrubal trade. Dbacks #11, #19, and unranked.

If you read between the lines it looks like the key to the Mets deal was the 1 mil in slot money to potentially sign Victor Victor Mesa.

This was from right after the Familia trade. Would've been the only way it could be considered salvageable, to sign the top Int'l prospect with the Int'l $ from his deal. The O's are signing him instead because they are a 10x more well run org than the Mets are.

Asdrubal traded to the Phillies for their 10th ranked prospect (actually pretty good return for a rental???).

Ass was such a fun player to root for, definitely gonna miss him. He did a lot for us and was our most consistent player over these last couple years. Also great toughness, he ALWAYS had some sort of injury ailment about him, but was always able to play through it. Sadly can't root for his team going forward, at least this year.

Two more MLB players (non-Brewers thankfully) were discovered to have posted insensitive, racist tweets as high schoolers, young adults.

Seriously people, delete your old accounts/posts! Also, I know the media and pop culture like to whitewash the morality of schoolchildren, but if anyone remembers actually being in high school, this is how a lot of guys talked and acted. That's not an excuse. I myself didn't speak this way and certainly didn't post anything obscene on social media, but what I think the general public needs to understand (especially the older generation) is that this language from these players in their youth wasn't exactly unusual or uncommon. Hateful rhetoric like this starts in elementary school and only gets worse after that until you reach college where all of a sudden everyone is more grown up (for the most part).

I don't think this was a case of these people actually being anti-whatever, but moreso just a sign of immaturity and crowd following. Not sure a witch hunt is in order, but at the same time, not every teen acted like this in high school, so there is no complete excuse for it.

There are definitely young people that say and do dumb stuff because they don't know any better. That Brewers guy looked more like a dude who is just a total douche jock though, and he would happily dunk you headfirst in a toilet except it kept him away from cocaine parties.

There's definitely some language that can be used incorrectly and it's sort of an indication that we need to think about the words and negativity we use.

they aren't naming the third player til later. Said likely not Heyes. I'm worried it is one of the Kevins. Also, if the Pirates could resign Dickerson I could relax a little more.

Only knowing two of the pieces going to the Rays, I'd say that the Pirates did well. Glasnow missed the strike zone as often as batters missed his pitches and Meadows was kind of stuck as the 4th OF until like 2020. Archer's peripherals these past few seasons have been almost even with his career line than the drop in his standard stats would indicate.

Losing meadows hurts, but OF is one of our strengths at the major league level and in the minors. Now after newly drafted Swaggerty, 4 of our top 10 are OFs if i recall (Swaggerty, Reynolds, Mitchell, and Sanchez)

Glasnow I think is done as a starter, thus I'm not too upset about trading him. Still a guy easy to root for, seemed like a cool person and nice to fans and what not. I do think he could be one of the new "super reliever" types though down the line.
