-Black 2 has Pokestar studios with is a hella long side quest that lets you star in fun movies and make your own endings for each one depending on your choices. You even fight non-pokemon enemies like a mecha-Tyranitar, a UFO, and a giant woman >_>


-Sabrina is also a celebrity in the movies. And since she is a celeb, she canonically must've had her nudes leaked to the internet >_> So everyone in Unova know what her titties look like.

-Battle Subway is fun and has this neat piece of artwork associated with it <_<

-You fight 6v6 against someone with a legendary on their team as one of the final bosses. Idk if any other pokemon game has had that before but it's really cool.

-Unova is a fun region and has a lot of variety in its environment and towns, moreso in Black 2.

-Black 2 has a hard mode that you can toggle, which finally makes a pokemon game challenging.

-The amount of post game in Black 2 is insane. I have a 200 hour save file and I still haven't done everything yet.



Gen 5 just did so many things right. It really sucks that Gen 6 and Gen 7 are so disappointing compared to it >_> If you want your ballsack blown out to space, play Black 1 and Black 2. They're really good pokemon games.

It's the only gen I haven't played, but it definitely seems like my kind of thing. The PWT looks amazing. It has a lot of nice touches too, like infinite TMs (the first gen to introduce it), Audino, the difficulty modes, Medals, etc.

Gens 6 and 7 are alright, but they lack too much, especially in the post-game.

Gen 5's evolution levels were absurd. Part of it was because you'd catch the unevolved wild Pokemon at an already high-level, so it didn't require too much leveling to evolve it but it has the nasty side-effect of having those Pokemon be really cumbersome in later games.

Example: Rufflet in B/W is normally caught late game in the mid-high 30's level. This makes it's level 54 evolution to reasonableish (still pretty crazy).

In S/M Rufflet is caught at level 12. Have fun with that. Braviary isn't even an overly-strong to warrant that.

They also had this nasty thing where, you'll have a late evolution combined with the final form switching offensive styles on you. So your attack-oriented Larvesta now becomes a Special Attack oriented Volcarona. If you actually cared about it's nature it meant you either rolled with a gimped Larvesta until level 59 so you could have a better Volcarona or vice versa.

That said, GF clearly gave a shit about Gen V in a way they haven't since. I hope with Gen 8 moving into the brand new world of main-line console, they can try to put the same level of effort in again.

Gen 4 had the leader of Team Galactic try to wipe out all of reality. Gen 3 had the teams try to either flood the world or dry up the oceans. Gen 6 had the team try to cause mass exaction.

Really, only Team Rocket and Team Skull were of the gangster/delinquent type. The rest tried to commit acts of wide-scale death and destruction.

A) Of course there were gonna be ice cream Ice-type Pokemon eventually. At least Vanillite is cute.

B) Trubbish and Garbordor are literally piles of trash. I can't fault a Pokemon's design for doing exactly what it set out to do.

It would be fitting for the first mainline Pokemon game on a console, but I also kind of feel like since it's such a big deal they might play it safe like Gen 7 and have a ton of nostalgia bait like with Alolan Variants (which I also liked).
