Since for for people it is harder to beleive there are more than 2 genders than same sex people liking each other.....also gay people focused only on being able to get married and not being fired or sufering violence...Basically live and let live.

The non binary however is asking for people to call them by their preffered pronounss and some even want legislation to force people to to that.

While most trans also go by the live and let live style of gay rights actvists, a vocal group go as far as saying that you are a transphobe if you refuse to date and have sex with trans people even if they have not gone trough sex reasigment surgery....which is basically the same as saying 'you are an homophobe is you refuse to date gay people'.

Please remain civil and polite. I would like to hear your opinions.

Yes, adding trans to sexual preference activism already was like tacking shit on a good bill to pass it, adding + to the group was like that anti-lootbox bill that got turned in to a pro-lootbox bill.

I don't think that the trans movement has hurt the gays, I think their fights are relatively similar.

The non binary movement however, has turned the movement into somewhat of a joke. Considering the left constantly ridicules the right for refusing to embrace science for the sake of their beliefs, it pretty much destroys the credibility of their argument when they want to claim that gender is more closely related to muh feelings than chromosomes.

The way they view sexual identity is ironically similar to the incel mentality.... men and women are chads and stacys, but they're the enlightened ones because of their position on a self contrived spectrum. When in reality, most normal people care very little about gender, and realize that some people just happen to be more or less masculine/feminine than others, without feeling the urge to create imaginary labels.

Honestly, not only is the non binary crowd setting back the lgbtq movement, they're also holding back the progressive left. Trump might be an ass, but to the average lcd American, a refusal to accept 72 genders is more normal than a refusal to accept climate change.

As someone who is LGBT, youre absolutely correct from my viewpoint.

That being said there is a portion of the LGB that think the T shouldnt be included with us and theyve thought that long before trans people starting hurting he cause or whatever bullshit straight people think. Those people are equally dumb and instead hurt the LGBT instead of helping it.

Socially we generally accept people have different preferences and to some degree we accept that some people want to mutilate themselves to suit themselves, the difference is trans people want their way of thinking to be normalised while gay people want to be accepted for their abnormal life choices.

Trans movement encroaches much more strongly on changing how you think than queerness.

Then there's that village where children are born female but grow penises later in life. And tons of other things. And of course there are historical social precedents for recognizing more than two genders. It's not some new thing.

Except the one thing they're actually correct about is the idea that gender is a social construct.

Gender IS a social construct. And society has almost unanimously decided that there's only two genders. Hermaphrodites have ambiguous sex organs but ultimately conform to a gender (social mannerisms) that align with one of the two genders.

Ok, but 1.7% of people born intersex, and that village you're referring to, only one in 90 males experience as such and their population in the village is less than 6000. You're really reaching when using the rarest of anomalies to disprove that for literally 98.3% of the population in the world, sex/gender means either male or female and that any other deviation is merely a delusion.

I'm sorry, but dressing/doing your hair in a way that is sexually ambiguous and then calling yourself one of 72 genders doesn't change the fact that there's a 98% chance that you're actually a delusional male or female. Frankly the same applies for transgender people, but at least they seem committed to change, rather than expecting society to take gender fluidity seriously.

I don't dislike or disparage people who think/are like that, but I'm not gonna sugar coat logic and I'm not gonna go along with personal delusions.

Plus you know, 100 billion things can go wrong in the womb. Everyone starts out female anyway. Only the right chemicals at the right time can create a male. Thinking that there is no chance that you could get too much or too little of a chemical in the womb is putting waaaaay too much faith in fetal development. :P
