Can't say I have the kind of experience to really confirm much other than basics like resume's using photos lmao

The people I know who've gone entered Japan's career force as foreigners have pretty different backgrounds though. The one I know the most is a Somali-Canadian software developer who already had a Japanese spouse before moving, had his start in IT.

The rest are either very well off (Singaporean girl in business, or highly skilled multilingual Nigerian-Canadian girl) or getting by through teaching without as much long-term security (white Canadian guy)

back to pulling out LttP sprites

wrote another script to, instead of pulling fully unique sprites, now differentiate between sprites that are just pallet swaps of other sprites



Opaque: First instances of a sprite pattern
Transparent: Duplicated patterns in a different pallet

I enjoy how I pieced it together quite comprehensibly, and dumped the patters in .dats along with the matching .png of each unique sprite tile pattern



instead of making a colour array where each pixel index is a full RGB colour element, each new colour is instead assigned a pallet index which to map the sprite by instead

... I needed this because LttP's mountain sprites are so mindcrushingly redundant and incomprehensible
