it's like an unwritten rule to not do "bigger" Save My's too often because of burnout and diminishing value

we need to go back

back to when b8 was way more active and start these contests from that year

imho gamefaqs contest on-season should make for viable contests activity

plus a potential way to bring in more tales fan blood to the board

well i was going to do Save My Persona 3 before Tales 2 anyway. and i had an idea for another small intended-to-be-more-casual one.

new users with interests in save mys would definitely be cool though

some of those later Tales rounds were pretty slow -_-

i don't even know if there interest would be there for a bot save my tales since bot ones could be good for visibility but they'll always draw less than non-bot ones.

a bot contest would probably guarantee 1 tales saver not participating so I'm not sure how good it would be to bot Tales

I'm thinking of maybe making bot test out a Kill My contest where results would start from #1 and work its way down to last place... so the survivor of the 1st day is technically the champion already

what the subject would be I don't know yet but it would have to be a strong batch of characters to keep people wanting to stay and kill till the end

idk if i'm interpreting that right but not sure how much appeal something like that would have since i feel that most care more about seeing what they like go far than taking out something they don't like.

even if it was a super strong batch it would have to be fueled entirely on HATE huehuehue

i like kill my's though since they're always over with quickly. i was planning on doing kill my final fantasy after leon's contest ended but then smfffc started up

instead of each round of people saving who they like until 1 loser of the day is pinpointed, each day kills t least-favourites until 1 unkilled survivor remains, or rather "saved"

people could still be fueled on eliminating their least-favourites at least in hopes that the characters they like is the remaining character saved... hard to say without trying which is why I wanna see how it goessssss

but yeah having a pool of characters that can keep people's interest is the tricky part, but I'd like to see if it's doable... and probably go back to 24/7 rounds for it

looking over Save My Tales results

as much as i like yuri, him winning kind of deflated things at the end since it was super obvious. it was one of those wins that's pretty much guaranteed to happen early on so people move on to supporting their secondaries and the like i suppose.

i wonder if Yuri vs. Velvet would have been a more exciting finals since she had the most unique number of supporters from early on iirc and i was expecting that to be the finals for a majority of the contest.

looking back though i'm pretty happy that Zelos ended up getting third because <3

off the top of my head, i can't really think of any characters that i hate that i want to see in any contests. personally i'd just rather not have them in any contest than see them get last or near the bottom.

i feel like maybe if the pool was all characters i felt the same about something could happen but yeah i don't really know how i'll feel about the concept until it happens i suppose
