Yes

Google works if I just want to know what kinds of spiders can be found atleast somewhere in Nevada

Or if I want FAQs from pest control sites that amount to "THEY ERRYWHERE BETTER PAY US MONEY"

And not personal accounts for more specific questions I asked

Thanks for the effort, champ. Maybe next time you'll get it.

Black widows are pretty common, but just spraying poison along the outside of the house and wherever else is good enough to keep them at bay. It also helps with the cockroaches, which are also really common.

One time either a wolf spider or brown recluse got in, but it was the only time I saw one in the ~5 years I lived there. We also had a scorpion once too.

Oh right, there are also little grey jumping spiders that are quick and can be annoying to kill.

Those were the only notable ones I can think of, but there are still various plain looking ones from time to time. But again, spraying the poison outside keeps the vast vast majority of them out.

Now this is helpful, thanks!

What would you say was the size of the wolf/recluse/whatever, and the average size of the jumping ones?

Trying to get an idea for a comparison.

The jumping ones were like the size of a dime I think. My memory of the wolf/recluse is hazy, but it was maybe 2-3" long?

It's a spider. Who's bigger you or the spider? I think you'll win the fight. Remember they are just as afraid of you!

Man I have to have this conversation with my 4 year old all the time in the spring when the bugs come out lol

My experience is tamer than mnk's. Maybe it's just luck, but I've hardly ever seen a spider in seven years of suburban Las Vegas living. I've seen ONE black widow when walking at night, and that's honesty the lone spider sighting I can think of (ignoring the harmless tiny ones, and even those have been quite rare). I also know scorpions can be a problem here, but I haven't seen one of those either.

It's as much of a surprise to me as anyone, but I've found Las Vegas to be much better in terms of bug-squeamishness than our old family house in SoCal.

For what it's worth, I did see my first rattlesnake a couple months ago. Pretty epic.
