Super Mario Odyssey has such a high number to be met. Still needs 110K, and the other big two donation incentives need 45ish,000. Not to mention, FFVI has a 100% completion incentive along with other things.

SGDQ is about to pass up SGDQ 2016 in donations, so I really hope the momentum keeps going as I want to see SMO. The idea of someone flying all the way to SGDQ to run a game, and then not even getting to run it is kind of funny/sad at the same time though.

Too much bad RNG made it to where they could only finish Blue and not Yellow as they were already quite a bit over.

I also donated to help get to SMO...

Also, I noticed they failed to meet an incentive for Pokmon. The Moltres/Lapras one that is. I can definitely see why, 30K was probably a little too high for something that as it sounds, doesn't sound too exciting. Probably should have made that 20K, and there might have been more push.

I've only been able to watch a handful of runs this summer unfortunately. Anyone got any recommendations or highlights?

Also, I watched the SMB3 race where homeboy softlocked the NES twice. Those 2 dudes were great. The Metroid Zero Mission race was great too.

Ninja Gaiden Black was pretty cool if that is your type of game you like to watch. Just a lot of skill involved, no real game-breaking stuff. The person running PB'ed, and improved their already 2nd best in the world run of the game for any%.

Celeste race was fun, Half-life was crazy. There are more, but I'm tired, so I'm having trouble thinking right now.

Pokemon runs are RNG when you're running just one game (heart gold didn't even get finished when they last ran it), let alone two games.

Add to that the fact that yellow was de-syncing almost instantly every time he tried to line them up and it's they even got as far as they did.

Gotta recommend that Kirby's Adventure run for sure. Entertaining commentary and a master at his craft at the helm.

I don't know if Undertale's yellow credit incentive will be hit. Will be a big shame because then the runner will just run from fights. Makes the run a lot less interesting.

I was one of the weirdos who grinded 3-4 coin rush for the 9,999,999 coin prize in NSMB2. My cartridge popped out around 8 million coins, and I was back at 3 million, but I did it anyways. True 100% of that game....

Partly extremely bad RNG, partly player error. He got crit a few times basically out of nowhere when you wouldn't expect it and had way more missed attacks than should have happened. The final error was completely human, though, tried to OHKO with an attack that had 0% chance to OHKO instead of healing.

Also, big incentives like the Mario Maker showcase and Odyssey probably ate into Undertale. I am not a crazed Undertale fan, but the idea of watching a run where they skip all the enemies, including bosses, sounds like one big walking simulator, and not a fun one either.

Frankly, I can't watch other people play Undertale. It's just uninteresting regardless of the run. I've just got too much experience with the game

I am always impressed with the fights themselves, how cleanly some of these people dodge the, at times, bullet hell. I just beat the final boss for Genocide, and I was so bad at that last move.

I'm up to 6 runs of the game, 2 of them Genocide. Frankly everything in it comes down to pattern recognition. The only reason it seems hard is because for certain fights it can be extremely time consuming to practice later patterns.

EDIT: And NOTHING is hard on a Pacifist run. Game is a complete pushover
