Yes. I did hunter this time. Primrose was 10/10 in the other demo but I didn't wanna do it again now that I had 6 more options.

Primrose's story was pretty compelling imo. She was a noble's child who whored herself out to find her dad's killer. It's pretty sick cuz she seems like a normal girl otherwise, so I'm sorta curious to learn more about her.

I do wonder if learning about other travelers' story without starting with them will take away some of the dramatic investment though

You ever play Seiken Densetsu 3?

It's the same basic idea. Out of 6 characters, you get 1 main and 2 permanent party members. Each one has a different story. You'll only get to see that character's story play out if you choose them as a main character. Otherwise Once you get to the holy land, you'll find that the dude who would have been the final boss was killed by the final boss of the main character's story

You ever play Seiken Densetsu 3?

It's the same basic idea. Out of 6 characters, you get 1 main and 2 permanent party members. Each one has a different story. I want to play all the stories in one playthrough, what does picking a main mean? I know you can revisit earlier stories with characters, how does that work with respect to leveling and equipment?

The main probably changes the final boss and some of the major late game story elements.

Did the English dub change the text from normal dialogue to "ye olde" style or is that flavor in the original Japanese as well?

(I fucking despise ye olde text. It doesn't 'immerse' you in olden times settings, it just takes you out because people only speak in text like that in cliche works of fiction. It's one thing for a character to have dialect written for them, it's another thing to write 'you' as 'ye' because "lol they spoke funny in the past")

I've only done Ophilia so far, and the whole idea with her city/background is that she's the daughter of an archbishop, so her dialogue so far has been religiously stuffy ("May the flame guide your way," "Thank you Father," etc.), but I think that's just because it's her story in particular.

Not entirely. Like H'naat speaks in olde English but it comes more across as an accent/dialect. Most dialogue is basic English with some religious sayings or cheesy slang/cursing.

You know, I'm on Alfyns story now and it's not bad. Def can see using him in my party.

Think if I had to rank I'd go Prim > Ophilia > Alfyn > H'naat. Gonna play around more with Alfyn and hit the time limit before trying out the Warrior

Yes, however, it takes about a half hour to get through a story so you are going to have to really fucking rush if you want to recruit all 8 chars before the demo ends.

I've played most of the first chapters by now, still need to do Tressa and finish Cyrus. In the full game, I'm thinking I'm gonna go with Primrose as a main. She's had the most compelling story by far. Gotta love dat revenge arc.

It's beefgated and some things require certain abilities but more than one character has those abilities. For example the warrior and Hunter can both beat up NPCs, the cleric and dancer can both get NPCs to follow them.

Appears to be open outside of the beefgates.

You can also boost the level just like attacks to boost the success rate.
