Well, Hades personality in Kid Icarus is pretty similar to Hercules for what it's worth.

C-list? That's Fire Emblem/Kirby territory, Kid Icarus is more like E or even F-list in terms of Nintendo's priority.

Zelda doesn't make as much money for Nintendo as the other series. Animal Crossing is probably the weakest A-tier series for Nintendo, but they make them a lot of money

And this tiering was based on how Nintendo treats the games, how they see them.

Every Mario platform Zelda and Smash game is an event when they talk about it. Pokemon barely less so, but close enough I definitely wouldn't argue with someone having them S. Everything lower Nintendo gives less craps about.

You can't argue Animal Crossing and I guess kinda Picmin, but Nintendo doesn't really treat them that great.

Ones a huge fan favorite and the other makes a ton of money for them.... but still not treated Elite.

How is The Legend of Zelda B tier in that list when Breath of the Wild is very likely the completely responsible for the Switch's success?

Zelda also has more games. A mainline Animal Crossing game is going to get you 10 million copies.

Breath of the Wild helps Zelda, but the series is more of a 7 million seller series

Zelda has been Nintendo's star franchise for how it's treated since Ocarina of Time.

Mario is going to net them numbers regardless, they know that. And that's why LoZ has been their flagship forever.

If you go to an E3 your dream is to see a new Zelda game, (Smash too for what it's worth) and that's because of the Hype Nintendo themselves have put on it.

I'd probably just collapse charmander's A and B tier together. Those are all massive selling franchises who sell millions and whose releases are treated as a big deal.

That leaves room for us to make a new F-tier at the bottom for Nintendogs!

Nintendo just doesn't treat Kirby like a big release. The games usually feel like stop gap releases between bigger series releases. Like, yeah, there are consistently decent Kirby games coming out, but they don't really get much fanfare and Nintendo moves on quickly from them until the next one.

There's no way Pokemon isn't in the highest tier. Every mainline release gets massive attention. Even spinoff releases often get a Mini-Direct. And in terms of being a cultural phenomenon, it's unmatched. If we weren't just limiting this to games, I'd argue that Pokemon belongs in a tier of its own at the top.

I don't think I can agree with Fire Emblem being down at Kirby tier. If you've got a decent pulse on Nintendo's games right now you'd know FE has been absolutely skyrocketing since Awakening came out. Like, back during Ike's games (which funny enough were better than anything that has come since,) I'd agree with a C tier placement but nowadays Fire Emblem is absolutely B level.
