usually involves someone ignoring somebody else all while they are drinking coffee and have a hand raised to indicate they do not wish to be disturbed

even has one where instead of helping helping left the barbell off his struggling friend he insists on drinking his coffee in peace while having his hand raised to indicate he is in i don't care mode right now

this is suppose to be advertising towards Millenials

how? by making them all look like dicks who would rather their friend be choked out by metal than be away from coffee for one second

By saying it's so good, they have to drink it. Lots of people are always saying how they can't do anything until they've had their coffee. I don't think it has anything to do with being dickish. But I also didn't know they were trying to advertise to just millennials...

when the ad shows a guy struggling to get a barbell off asking for help and then asking his friend if he's mad at him because he refuses to respond(his glasses are foggy and he can't tell his friends just drinking coffee with his eyes closed)

it can come off as a dickish ad

Ok. I just watched the commercial. I think it was suppose to be a personal trainer. Also, he didn't seem like a dick. His eyes were closed and he probably didn't know his trainee was struggling. Not to mention, he did eventually seem to lift it up by himself. And it was suppose to just show that nothing comes before coffee. That's all...

My mind scrubs all advertising from my recollection. It's sort of a memetic anti-malware my subconscious has developed.

eh yeah i guess the other one i saw is more dickish where several guys in the rain ran up to this guy whose drinking coffee waiting around for something but it isn't until he stops drinking his coffee that he notices all these guys who started lining up and asks them what they want

we never find out but what we do know is that he had his eyes closed while drinking coffee long enough that a line formed around of him with people who needed to ask for help or something it's weird

His eyes were open. We also know what they want. They want umbrellas. There were like a hundred of them. It still didn't really seem dickish, though...

So its promoting addiction then?

Good.

I mean why else do people eat Mcdonalds so often?

Promoting addiction? Probably. Or at least taking advantage of it. But I don't think it's addiction to them specifically. Addiction to coffee. Even people who don't go to McDonalds act like that. They even have cups for your home that say that. So...
