Culver's used to have fried chicken that I thought was pretty good. The burgers are a bit greasy for my liking. The soups and chili are pretty good.

It's a regional chain that serves burgers and fries and stuff along with frozen custard. Their burgers are called butterburgers, I guess because the buns have butter on top or something. Greasy deliciousness.

I called my friend in New York today on my way home with Bojangles and him talking about how he missed Bojangles had me thinking: Are there any good chains based in the North? I know the Midwest has some good stuff, the South has a bunch of fried chicken things, and I think even the West Coast has some stuff. I couldn't think of anything for the North.

Hey Socky do you have Culver's in Minnesota? It's so good. When we went to a Packers game last fall we went there for lunch and I liked it so much we had it for dinner too.

Yeah there's Culver's here. I've only been there like 2 times ever.

Raising Cane's is also incredible. Those are all from other places tho.
DQ is from here, but it's just mediocre. It's decent if you want to go to a place that has okay chicken strips and okay ice cream

5 days ago a new Raising Cane's less than a mile from my house (the old one is less than 2 so it's not that much different, but still). Maybe I should go there today. Box combo, replace the cole slaw with an extra toast, and extra Cane's sauce.

One thing I like about Cane's is that they know they make chicken fingers very very well, and that's the only thing they do. They don't clutter up the menu with extra crap that's not going to be as good just for the sake of having a little variety.

Sub extra toast in for cole slaw. You are a mad genius.

There's a Cane's right on the way home from work but I haven't gone yet. I have a long commute and I'd have to dine in because otherwise it'd be sitting in my car for like half an hour, and then I'd be eating an early dinner. But it does sound like something I might do tonight after all this chat. I probably don't have the courage to make that big sub like you though and I'll just throw the slaw out like I always do.

They do have Coldstone and we (the family) love it. It's my favorite I guess chain ice cream but I'd probably take ted drewes frozen custard over it. I think the best ice cream I've ever had though was this gelato spot in Toronto that I'm sure @Zeeky_Bomb knows because we discussed it afterward. The name escapes me right now

something funny from the Wild game is that the loudest cheer of the night came when they showed Cousins on the jumbotron. The Wild didn't score a fucking goal so what else is there to cheer for

It was okay. We had more around here but a lot of them closed down. The ice cream I like best is from The Chocolate Shoppe. It is based out of Madison, but has locations in several states.

On the subject of sauce for chicken, do you guys put sauce on your chick fil a sandwiches? I'm on the fence about it. I like to dip the waffle fries in chick fil a sauce and sometimes I douse the chicken on the sandwich too, but I can never decide if it makes it better than just the pure chicken/bread/pickles combo. Also, I recently read something on thetakeout where they said the best part of a chick fil a sandwich is opening the foil package and all the heat and smells come out. I don't know if it's the *best* part but it's definitely an ineffable quality that none of the many, many chick fil a knockoffs can match because they just stick it in a cardboard box.

The only chickfila near me is in a food court on campus so I very rarely get to go, but here's what I like to do. You guys are going to think I'm a freak, but I like to get the spicy sandwich, take the pickles out, put ranch on top of the chicken, then eat the sandwich.

Unrelated chick-fil-a story: there are hardly any of them here in MN, but my mom really likes the polynesian sauce from there. One day I thought I'd be nice and bring her back some, so I put like 20 of the little containers in my backpack (in a separate pocket) and somehow they all ruptured and leaked everywhere. So that's how I ruined a backpack with chick-fil-a

you know I really hate to be the guy who complains about officiating and how it affects the outcome of the game, but this wasn't called last night.

The guy should have been give a 5 minute major, tossed from the game, and gotten a suspension of at least a game or two, but it wasn't even called at all. And then right after this, the Jets scored and Morrissey had an assist. NHL officiating has gotten really bad

I do think you're a freak, but mainly because ranch sucks. The best chick-fil-a item is just the basic chicken sandwich, and I like to dip it in the sauce rather than pouring it on top. It isn't like my top favorite food, but I get so hungry so quickly thinking about that sandwich.

I remember when I was in like 8th or 9th grade we went on a short weekend outing in the summer and I packed my stuff in my backpack, but I left my deodorant in there and it melted and destroyed the bag.

NOTE: this may be my brother's story and I accidentally placed myself in it after a decade+, which is the kind of disclaimer you only have to make if you know he's going to read this.

I don't agree with your choices but I respect your right to make them. I'm sure it tastes good anyway, I just wouldn't do it and I don't like their spicy as much as their regular sammie.

Also at my mom's house there are 100,000 chick fil a sauce packets in the kitchen

Avs are only down 1-0 after the first period, but they looked completely overmatched. It's gonna be bad if all the periods go like that. And none of the other series made it to 2-2 yet which I realize logically means nothing for this one, but I still get the feeling that doesn't bode well

Also the Sharks swept the series which is pretty cool, but I'm nervous because the Ducks took 5 penalties per game so I'm not sure how the Sharks will do against a team that isn't constantly shooting themselves in the foot.

That guy was a total dork.

So the Indians Twitter account posted this screenshot of a fan's reaction to the game on Reddit.
https://twitter.com/Indians/status/986819574799765504?s=19

But what actually happened is they created a new account, made that post, then took a screenshot and pretended it was something funny a fan wrote. You can tell because the delete/edit button is there and those only show up for your own posts. It's also a brand new account with a very generic name
