I don't know how I feel about this. These kind of things are stupid but I haven't seen the Rockies get into one in a long time, so it's kind of interesting. Also, look at Arenado's hair fly. Is he growing it or something? This is already the longest I've ever seen it.

FWIW they scored five runs that inning but who knows whether it was because they were amped up from the fight.

Baseball fights are stupid but they're fun.

Playoff hockey is as bad as movie trailers for actually getting the event started. They say the game starts at 6, but there's 25 minutes of building crap before they actually start playing

well winnipeg has used that chant forever years, and the packers use this stupid little jingle then yell go pack go, and in that sense it's different than the GB one. And from what I understand, most of the jets fans that do care about football are vikings fans

Man I forgot how freaking slow paced the end of playoff (or win and in/lose and elimination) NBA games are. The reviews/fouls/timeouts drag on forever.....this last 2 minutes of regulation and 5 minutes of overtime has taken like 45 minutes

You know what? Every Minnesota team made the playoffs this year. That's pretty good, even if none of them are going to win everything. I don't think that's happened here

I was wondering how that works with the MLB season being kind of out of sync with the other 3. Are the teams from each sport that start in 2018 all the same "year" ?

Now that I actually sit down and think about it, I'm not sure how else it would work. makes perfect sense

I was shocked to learn the other day that the Rockets are actually sort of the favorite. You never expect anyone besides the current big team to be favored but I guess Curry might be out for a while still which would make a difference. Still, I'm sure golden state will figure it out

Obviously I'm counting all of them as 2017 seasons, but you could make the case that the NHL and NBA are in the 2018 season since the majority of games are played after the new year.

that's just not true chewy. The NHL has 31 pro teams. Minnesota has 4 (not including MLS and WNBA, and whatever else teams might technically be "pro")

I've said it before I'll say it again. Golden Knights is an awful team name but my god their sweaters/uniform is amazing

I wouldn't hate this. It would also be cool if the Sixers made the Finals, they ended the regular season on a 16-game win streak. But sports are usually awful so it will be the Cavs or Celtics instead.

Same here. They'll probably weather it long enough to get Curry back and I'm sure they'll end up in the Finals once again. Their first round is against the Spurs, I wish so bad Kawhi would come back for revenge

So if all of us were to rank our favorite sports, and I the only one whose 2 favorites are football and hockey? I'm guessing so because I'm a huge fan of concussions and you guys seem to be against them

I wouldn't even begin to know which one is my favorite, since I seem to spend more time nowadays complaining and agonizing over sports than enjoying them.

TBH, I've lately found hockey to be the most enjoyable to watch, but it feels wrong to call it my favorite. I didn't really grow up watching it, and of the four sports it's still the one whose rules and strategy I understand the least. I only really watch it in the playoffs though, which is also the only time I enjoy MLB and NBA. There's just too many games, local announcers are shitty and the vibe is unexciting with half-empty stadiums/arenas.

The NFL is a lot more fun to watch in the regular season since each game feels almost like the playoffs in the other sports, but the length of stoppages and commercials is starting to get unbearable for me. Anyways, gun to my head I'd probably answer your question with football and baseball, but hockey could replace either of those soon

It's baseball and football but "favorite" might be a strong word at this point when I barely watch any

I'm getting better at watching basketball and baseball. Honestly a large part of it is the twins and pups getting better, and probably me getting older.

1. I wish I even had a top two sports. Number two is probably basketball I guess? I follow the storylines and stuff at least more than I do hockey

Apparently he's the third player ever to give up back to back homers to the first two batters he ever faced. Reminds me of when Evan MacLaine made his MLB debut against the Rockies and the first batter he faced (Chris Iannetta I think?) hit a walkoff homer. That was insane.
