How many times during a work week do you guys go out for lunch? I went three times last week (sort of on accident) and as a result vowed to do it 0 times this week. Usually it's 1 or 2. Anyway I ask because I'm getting hungry and I just got super sad to realize that to defeat my hunger all I have is soup

I usually bring my lunch, but I may go out once or twice a month. Most of the time I'm working through my lunch by helping students, though, so I end up just eating while I'm teaching my next class.

Also I should have asked what's your go-to for a work lunch? If it's a small business that's great but obviously I'm more talking about chains here. For me I like Wendy's (this is also the cheap option: their 4 for $4 thing is an outstanding value), and if I'm feeling fancy I can make a longer drive and get chipotle. I also love Jimmy John's but have only ordered that from work so far

I mostly brought sandwiches every day, which is part of why I started going out more. Of course I'd bring other stuff sometimes but with my (lack of) cooking ability it was just way too tempting to go out, plus it's an excuse to get out of the office for a while. All that stuff got old too but it's still better than what I could bring.

Man, I don't eat there anymore. I still ate it when they had their first E. Coli outbreak since it supposedly hadn't hit Colorado, but the second one was the final straw for me. My mom recently knew somebody who got sick eating there, although I don't know if that was E. Coli-related so it's probably just dumb anecdotal evidence

Yeah but it tastes good and it's not that expensive. I also get really sick of just bringing a cold sandwich which is why I brought soup today. I added some hot sauce to it and that made it taste a little better but it also became kind of challenging to finish with all that heat. Bringing your lunch is just so horribly boring unless you have leftovers

Do you guys have Qdoba over there? It's basically the same thing. I've also seen people online talk about this place Moe's (a business of some kind), which I've never heard of, but supposedly it's like a better version of Chipotle

Never been to Qdoba (I don't know if there's one here), but Chipotle is... adequate.

Anyways, work lunches suck. I can go to the nearest mall, but that requires me to take a subway trip (in between my office and the nearest mall is a massive interchange, for context). I mean, there's Starbucks at least?

Do you have a go to easy dinner that makes you feel less bad? My favorite things are a grocery store rotisserie chicken and these Tyson microwaveable chicken breast fillets. They're surprisingly delicious on a sandwich and they even stand on their own!

I find Totino's pizzas to be weirdly good, but I haven't eaten one in a long time. I'm with Ultima, I'd rather just get a Domino's pizza which tastes better than any frozen pizza and is actually cheaper than many of them nowadays.

I like getting chicken from the grocery deli but I don't get a whole chicken. They have an option where you can get a big piece (like a breast or thigh) and two sides for $3.50. It's a good deal.

Frozen pizzas are fine. They're kind of convenient if you don't have a car and don't want to pay delivery charges.

Go-to easy dinners are usually chicken legs/thighs. Easy to cook without much prep, and are affordable too.

I'm playing Mighty Gunvolt Burst, which I think was mentioned here in passing like a year ago. It's pretty good at scratching the Mega Man itch, but the platforming and stage design are by far the best part. I don't really care for the convoluted customizations and the boss fights are too long

I played through two levels before I even figured out how to equip the guns. I'd rather just get some random-ass weapon at the end like in Mega Man. Those are useless half the time, but at least they tend to fire in different styles. And the weapons in this don't seem very useful anyway. In the ice level there are some special breakable-looking ice blocks, so I went back to it with a fire weapon and still couldn't break them. That kind of shit is lame.

I guess I should be glad that it's trying to be different, but on the other hand, there's a character named Dr. White which is the most uncreative thing imaginable, so they should have just copied MM more

I played through it as both characters with Beck first (sounds like you picked him) and I remember thinking Gunvolt was the more enjoyable character. I could be wrong, but in my memory the customization with him was more intuitive and useful to mess around with. With Beck it was just weird.
