Not just stuff like taking damage, but subtle things that help you with tactile feedback in the same way that you would need tactile feedback in real life (hard to explain). I don't know about other controllers this gen but Xbox One controllers have lots of different depth/intensities/locations for rumble and the little stimuli are never annoying.
