It does. Both endings are bad. Basically a Mass Effect 3 ending no matter which ending you choose.

I was playing through it, but stopped after when you go back in time to try and stop the MC's best friend's dad from dying but make it way worse then you come back. It kind of pissed me off that the game wasted my time for no reason.

Like why was that part even there? Felt like a big filler.

I just finished the game and while I can see why people didnt like the ending I dont see how its Lackluster. Honestly what did you expect, game sort of hints that Max is the cause of the abnormalities and I personally think the obvious choice was to save Chloe since thats the reason everything happened in the first place. Game also explains a shit ton of stuff with David, Nathan, Victoria, etc. It tied up most of the important stuff nicely, just didnt go into detail which is probably why people are complaining (but did it really need to?)

Anyway I thought Episode 4 was the strongest of the 5 but I really enjoyed the whole story, even the incredibly awkward/corny parts

Can see why it got decent scores. However there werent many choices where I had a hard time choosing like The Walking Dead

TL;DR: If you got this game free from PS+ definitely give it a shot. I almost skipped it but sorta glad I didnt because it was a unique experience

It was basically grass isnt always greener in terms of what she does. Definitely filler because if everyone lived happily ever after the game wouldve ended

But at the end all of the fucked up paths are acknowledged since she (Max) sort of just leaves them when she didnt like it. This game is kinda like Zero Time Dilemma

No it's because no matter what ending you chose your choices in the game didn't matter. Either ending made them null and void which is why I said it was like Mass Effect 3's ending.

I'm pretty sure the devs said not saving Chloe is the canon ending. I could be wrong though.

That would also be why one ending is like 2 minutes long while the other is like 7 minutes long.

They said something like "you choose the canon" ending. Also that was only because they ran out of funding.

I think the first episode is one of the better ones, just know that if you don't like Chloe (spoilers: she sucks) then the game is not for you.

Chloe seemed like an ungrateful bitch at times and definitely wasn't really thinking maturely at times

but to be fair she went through some serious shit. Her father clearly had a huge impact on her early childhood and I really don't see why people here dislike her too much. Her attitude was justified in a way because her dad clearly made the fam great and she just lost them like that

Then she loses her best friend due to moving away to school and her other bestie is murdered. Messes with typical druggie (haven't we all lol) and leaves. Yea it's the archetypal teenage rebel but this is a game with a bunch of high school teenagers

As for saving the town, again all of those signs should have had people move in the first place. I'm surprised nobody brought up the true villain but I liked how they tied it into the beginning segment. The last puzzle was very dumb tho

Again, great game and it has a lot of info you can look deeper into.

First one didn't happen at all. The last one didn't either since Wells is corrupt and that money was clearly bribe money and would be player choice anyway. Actually all of them except the 2nd is player choice. That's the only one that applies.
