Also, while the illegal seems like a standup citizen and has even passed the BAR exam... I wasn't even aware this was legal. Especially since her priority in the position will be to shift government aid to better funding illegal immigrant education

Lizbeth Mateo, a 33-year-old attorney and immigrant rights activist, will serve on the California Student Opportunity and Access Program Project Grant Advisory Committee. The committee advises the California Student Aid Commission on efforts to increase college access for California students from low-income or underserved communities.

In a statement, Mateo said she welcomed the opportunity. While undocumented students have become more visible in our state, they remain underrepresented in places where decisions that affect them are being made," she said.

A government position means a government paycheck. A government paycheck means you need a SSN. I'd love to know what she put down for her social security number, because literally any answer (including blank) is illegal. At the bare minimum, that would make it against the law.

I also don't know how she would pass a background check and/or a credit check which would likely ALSO be required for a government position.

Im not making myself stupid for not going through insane mental gymnastics to convince myself of something that is obviously false. I saw the actual law posted on a conservative sub on Reddit but Im not going to spend 30 minutes finding it to prove something to someone who wont change his mind and is being intentionally obtuse because he treats politics like his favorite sports team.
