Welcome to the final 24 hours of nominations.

You all know it gets a little crazy from here. As a heads up, I will not be home between 5 and 9 PM EDT. I will do my best to be reasonably present for the rest of the day, but I am not going to sit and home updating the spreadsheet every ten minutes. Sorry. I have my own Undertale - Hopes and Dreams, too.

I have been preparing some ideas for what kinds of seedings the songs that are looking relatively safe are. Apparently I'm a grumpy dude because almost nothing is positioned in the 1-4 seeds according to that. On the bright side, I haven't encountered any truly awful songs, either. If you're curious, these are the songs I've looked at so far:

Of course, some of those songs might not make the bracket. I started that list when I thought 4/3 would be safe. As of now, 4/3 is most definitely not going to be safe. We might end up with a really large tiebreaker reveal if we finish with 60 of those like there are now and exactly half of them get in. Could be exciting, I guess, but I know I'd feel better pushing my tracks to 4/4 or 5/3.

Personally, I'll be holding onto my 3/3s until the end unless anyone else drops them to 2/2. The final hours get exciting, but please try to be considerate toward the other people supporting your tracks, and try to remember that you don't have to be a nominator for 20 songs that make the bracket. The shell game is fun, in its own perverse way, but every song you push into the bracket is, of course, pushing another one out that somebody else loves. (Lest anyone call me a hypocrite, this is by no means trying to discourage you from swapping around your picks. Just hoping we can all be cool about it.)

Nominations will close at the stroke of midnight, my time. At that point, I imagine there will be plenty of folks chatting in discord, so please join us if you haven't been already. I also hope somebody will organize a snubs bracket. That always used to be my thing, but I'm going to be focused on the bracket, because, as everyone will pointedly remind me at that point, we want the damn bracket.

I had considered the notion of having a side bracket for the tournament itself that was by user selection, but I decided that this was a little too similar to how the snubs runs each year, and Ed Bellis offered to make a side bracket of his own design that I thought could be interesting, too. I apologize to anyone who was excited about the auto-include side bracket idea, but Ed committed a decent amount of work to picking out the songs devoted to his theme and I think it's a good one. It's essentially the opposite of mine from last year.

Oh, and please include links from here on out if you haven't been. I'm going to have my hands full fixing the unavoidable messes. There were quite a few error messages from the parser, but I resolved a bunch of them in a possibly-not-the-way-you-wanted manner, so please check your nominations and your doubles to make sure they look correct. Actually, that song isn't half-bad... since that Super Bonk nomination isn't going anywhere (sorry Chinballz), I'd be willing to flip a nom over to this, if you wanted to see if it could pull off a miracle and get in at the last minute.
