Given the importance of the local audience, I believe Big K is the one being groomed for a major feud with Okada.

He is very close to being ready and by this time next year I believe he will have a title shot.

He is a supernova talent that could get the early Nakamura push.

Tarver was still my favorite from Nexus. I think the dude was screwed over way too much, especially when his finisher was supposed to be a Knockout Punch and then Big Show decides to make it his finisher for whatever reason.

I actually have negative interest by default in Mania because it's so much about the presentation nowadays.

Then on top of that there haven't been any matches booked I want to see yet so that doesn't help. And Roman Reigns vs Brock is something I actively don't want to see.

See, WrestleMania is just a big party I have with my buddies, so I'm always more excited for that. It also happens to be our favorite time of year to relentlessly trash on how unloved Roman is and how much they want us to love him.

Even the people who only see one or two shows a year will make fun of Roman. And there's always one new person where we have to explain why everyone boos the good guy to.

Sports Illustrateds wrestling writer broke the story after he saw an Instagram post by Rey hanging out with Sin Cara after a San Diego house show on Monday night.

He saw it late enough to construe it as Mysterio drove up to LA on Tuesday for SD Live to negotiate a deal.

He based this on the idea that Heyman wasnt there either, and Heyman wouldnt no-show unless he was called off by management.

Dave is wrong all the god damn time... why would anyone care what he says on WWE? It's clear in the case of that company he is 100% guessing.

I mean, he's not wrong all the time. And he generally is careful to not paint rumors he hears as fact. He does make some conjectures, but it's always clear that they are conjectures. People will post on forums that his comments of "I think X" are really "Dave says X is happening!" So people like you come along and make serious assumptions about what he has said.

As for guessing, he has consistently made major WWE reports much earlier than other people. Miz/Maryse vs. Nikki/Cena at Mania, for example, he was talking about during the SummerSlam beforehand. Roman/Taker he talked about ahead of time. But usually with booking he says, "They're thinking about this, it's not in stone yet. X is in stone, Y is not." And people intentionally take parts of that out of context to hate on him for some bizarre reason.

He's a great wrestling historian - probably the best - and he is the last person who would tell you that his star ratings matter. People get so bent out of shape about Meltzer.

EDIT: Like, if the idea is that it was a very late angle because they still advertised it up to the start of the show, it seems odd that that would still be enough time to tell Heyman not to come, as well. You'd think he'd have been there already.

I think most of the things Dave is "wrong" on, as people say, is stuff people say as fact. I mean, I listen to 2/3 of his shows on F4W and I know what he says and then what websites are reporting or what I see thrown around here and the PWB and it's often altered in some way to make him say it's a sure thing.

It would make sense. Letting Roman cut a promo about Lesnar being an absentee champion was one of the few things that got Roman cheered when the Shield wasn't involved, and that's Vince's goal in pretty much everything.
