When a Vince loves a Roman, he makes illogical decisions and decides that Roman is the future of the company despite him being rejected by most of the fanbase. Meanwhile, Braun gets over organically in the same way Vince wanted Roman to. This should be great because Vince loves large sweaty men. However, Vince is senile and stubborn, and refuses to change his plans as his feeble mind thinks the universe will end if Roman doesn't main event a 4th straight Wrestlemania.

I guess you could use an injury storyline or something but... then you've probably gotta keep him off TV for a while. And that's not a good idea. If you can keep Strowman on TV every week, you keep Strowman on TV every week.

Theyre going to ruin all of the greatness that Braun has created. They wont put the belt on him after Mania because Roman will probably have it until at least Summerslam. By that point people are going to stop caring because they didnt pull the trigger soon enough.

Yeah really the ideal way to book this if you were bound and determined to put Roman over was to have Braun go over at the Rumble because Braun vs Roman is at least a match that makes some amount of sense narratively in a way Brock vs Roman doesn't.

Roman still goes over which is still stupid but Braun going over Brock is giving his fans a signal that Braun is going to be for real.

Right exactly Roman beating Brock is a big sell.
