Not really a fan. Her songs are generally to ponderous and slow for my tastes. I'm not huge on female vocals either. Also it took about 34 listens to figure out what "Our Love Ain't Water Under the Bridge" was saying in the chorus.

One of the best DC B-Listers out there. The space opera angle of Strange is very well-told, and the emotional toll of Zeta Beams was always such a great and crucial fixture of the character. Not to mention the sleek retro design of his costume being one of my personal favorites in comics (especially the Ivan Reis variation).

It's fine. I've always found very linear games to be less engrossing for me than other titles, and that means the premium is put on the storytelling. I just feel like I can get a better Uncharted story out of films and TV shows. That said, they are very polished games.

Well I have limited experience with his '30s pulp library, I've read many of his reboots and returns. It's time for the Shadow to enter into a larger canon, specifically as a World War II era Batman stand-in. DC could use the Shadow to great effect in a throwback JSA title.

Watchmen

Rating: 93/100

An all-time classic, immaculately illustrated and terribly well-written. My main points of contention lie in the nihilistic notions of Moore's superheroes. I always feel the need to explain to people that while deconstruction is a valid mode of character exploration, making the assumption that grittiness is equivalent to reality or even just better storytelling is a false exquivalency. Moore's best superhero work comes from a story of unbridled optimism in the face of a changing world landscape. For me, Watchmen often just seems to stem from Moore's hatred of all things Iron Lady - much like a lot of the British Invasion at DC in the 80s.

A pretty average character and concept. I think it would be best-served written as an all-ages children's book (not necessarily a comic). I'm personally not a huge fan, but sometimes Stanley is well-handled (Kevin Smith gave a nice twist in Quiver).

I'm going with the team for this rating, and I think it's a team with a hell of a lot of potential. I would love to see this team brought back again. The team's destiny was really unique and the subtle hints that Demon Knights were a prototype for this group made it all the more interesting. I think a hybrid variation of the SSoV and the Shadowpact is where it's at for this group.
