Gamegrumps is only good when they are playing very simplistic games like Pepsi Man. Otherwise they mock the game and spoil the story. You think you're safe from spoilers by only watching the first episode of a Let's Play then Dan/Arin comes in and spoils the ending within the first 5 minutes of the video.

I still cannot believe they couldn't fucking figure out that number puzzle. By far they're stupidest moment.

Whenever I go back and watch the very first videos uploaded, the Kirby and Zelda videos with Jon, you can tell that there's a massive difference. They truly seemed to enjoy things when they started out. Now, not so much.

You waste a turn in a super easy games where turn wasting doesn't particularly matter in exchange for funny charming dialogue, which is 80% of the draw of the game. I think it's a fair trade

Also, her hints sometimes reveal weaknesses and stuff and that would help for Game Grumps, who generally can't figure things out unless it's explicitly said

Goombella is essentially the games' 'Navi'

She gives info on enemies, locales, and people, enough for players to grab a hint but not tell them out right, and she never intrudes

In combat she's average unless you are a pro at Charge + Multibonk, or until you get Rally wink, wish is one of the best moves in the game.

If she's on a tier list, she definitely top 3

Three blocks with #s on them ( 1, 3 and 10) indicating that you must strike the blocks that # of times. it turns red when reached, but resets to blue if struck again)

For the unenlightened, Goombella has Multibonk and she gets twice as much of a damage boost from Power Plus Ps. Combine that with Charge P and she has one of the highest damage outputs in the entire game.

The thing that bugs me is when egoraptor gets legitimately upset at a game and starts ranting and raving about it when it's his own fault for either not paying attention or just being bad at games.

It's been a while since this is one of their longest on/off playthroughs butttttt...

I believe Chapter 2's main struggle was getting to and around the Great tree or whatever it's called. Nothing major tbh, just Dan getting lost and falling

Since chapter 4 & 5 share similar struggles...

In chapter 4, Dan was struggling with fighting numerous enemies to the point where he was running away from nearly every fight. One day in RL, Dan created a AMA, and a Reddit user provided tips on a badge setup and general badge strategies, something along the lines of "If you are doing poorly, try switching badges"

Arin voiced his complaints immediately on how games should be played with a unique experience or something like tha . Heated arguments arose on the forums either defending Arin's opinion or the users choice of helping Dan.

Chapter 5 is mostly the same as Chapter 4, but Dan got stuck on the Pirate Cave entrance puzzle ( the Tall Blue statue and short red statue). I believe the solution to the puzzle was "hammer blue 3 times, Ground Pound red 4 times"

Dan would strike the blue one past 3 times, and as punishment, would send enemies to fight him. It took him and Arin a while that they were doing it incorrectly. Also Dan ran away from practically every fight inside the cave

Regardless of the hiccups, I've been enjoying the playthrough.
