Despite the First Order/Republic/Empire/Rebellion shit going on, there is still a ton of really fucking cool tech. Plus interstellar travel. And the possibility of being force-sensitive and having a form of low-level magic as a bonus? Yeah, sounds good to me. Star Trek would be a good alternative for a similar feel, but the lack of magic would give the edge to Star Wars. But then again, the Harry Potter world would be pretty cool. Having abundant magic to solve all kinds of problems super easily would be sweet. Shame that it's restricted to Earth only, though.
