I was hoping that since it had a physical release I could get away with it; the full Act 3 album might not be out (though, allegedly, they're cutting back on their touring schedule to work on something), but that and "Hold Back the Night" were released together on a physical record... I figured it couldn't count as a Single since there was more than one song on it.

Turns out the definition of a "single" is any release with three or fewer tracks -or- less than 30 minutes total time. ...also their own website calls it a single. Stupid music industry with their confusing terms. </.<

I'll work on replacing those two later tonight.

If you are positive or have evidence that the song will be included on an upcoming album... I suppose I could make an exception for it. (I actually did this with a nomination already that I found info stating it was for a planned yet delayed release)

Also, you mention Hold back the night as unreleased but I thought it was on an album... but I guess I'll have to double check that now and get back to you on why I passed it.

EDIT lol actually it was Hold Back the Night that I included because I found a statement or info saying it was coming out on Act III. :P

I didn't find that info for This City Made Us but if you can, I'll keep it in.

Yeah' theyre both from the same record and promotional tracks to hype up Act 3. From the sales page:

AFTER ALL THESE CRAZY YEARS YOU'VE WONDERED HOW ACT III MIGHT SOUND...WELL...YOU CAN NOW STOP WONDERING WHAT THE FIRST SINGLE SOUNDS LIKE.

1. THIS CITY MADE US
2. HOLD BACK THE NIGHT

That being said, I know they technically dont make the requirements and I already used my begging for an exception on Bloody Tears; Im okay with removing both of them, if you want. At the very least, I think Id like to swap one of them for Veritas anyway, gives a bit more diversity to my nomination list.

I dont exactly have a second 10s replacement in mind, but Im sure I can find something; but if youre okay with Hold Back the Night, Im fine keeping it too.

No I'm good. I didn't see that announcement but that clears it for me.

All I said was that it had to be on an album. An album from the future is still an album. :P

Honestly? I dunno. I'm so indecisive that i could type up large paragraphs for both decisions. If you've already listened to This City, then we might as well keep it; it was the original nomination, you already have thoughts on it, less work, etc, etc.

If you haven't gotten to that song yet (like if you researched it, dismissed it as being ineligible, and moved on without playing it) then we might as well go ahead and switch it out since it would be the same amount of work anyway.

Surf's Up was originally written in the mid 60's for the album SMiLE, which due to multiple reasons never came to fruition. Brian re-recorded the album in 2004 as a solo artist, which is where the version of the song I nominated came from.

Xerxes is a song for concert band, and as far as I know doesn't appear on any albums. The concert band I'm in played it a few years ago, which is how I know of it.
